On the bright side, the rate of re-offending among convicted rapists and murderers in Iran is extremely low.

Only country in the world that has used the biggest WMD's on civilians.Originally Posted by TizMe

Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000–80,000 in Nagasaki,[1] with roughly half of the deaths in each city occurring on the first day. The Hiroshima prefectural health department estimates that, of the people who died on the day of the explosion, 60% died from flash or flame burns, 30% from falling debris and 10% from other causes. During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness. In a US estimate of the total immediate and short term cause of death, 15–20% died from radiation sickness, 20–30% from flash burns, and 50–60% from other injuries, compounded by illness.[5] In both cities, most of the dead were civilians.[6][7][8]
Anyway, to liven up the hangings I suggest that the ones being hanged are made to wear roller skates
Amnesty has kept quiet about Thailand's political prisoners and the abuse of LM laws. They go heavy after the US enemies and soft peddle the friends of Washington. It's there for all to see - if you choose to look.
You know what is funny, well it's actually not funny, more sad. The dare I say hypocrites or phonies on this thread who claim to be against the death penalty willingly moved to a country that kills people for using drugs, that would be Thailand. I know these people aren't really against the death penalty, and couldn't give a fuck about the criminals or the people they've hurt, they are just using the death penalty to justify their bigotry and jealousy, so yeah, I speak again, it is funny!
Well if you live in a country that kills people for poppin a couple pills you're in no position to do anything but sit in the corner and keep your mouth shut. I bet you more people have their life destroyed by alcohol then they do drugs, but we laugh at them and their behavior, because they are only poisoning all their organs with ethanol and acting like fucking clowns in the process.
It takes a fucking sight longer to to fuck someone up with beer than crack cocaine
When's the last time you heard of a crack head crashing head on with car or van full of little kids? Crack heads usually stay in their room bothering no one but themselves until they run out of crack or money, then crash out on the couch for a day or two. Boozers are usually out in the public with their belligerent asses annoying everyone, if they aren't beating each other over the head at the end of the night over something they can't remember the next day. It is no wonder they've made alcohol legal in the West and Asia, it's a good way to control people. You don't see drunks over throwing dictators in countries where drink is legal like you do in the Muslim countries, the drunks are too busy hurling their stomach lining into the toilet to be revolutionaries.
Absolute crap, crackheads are usually to be found mugging and knifing some poor unsuspecting sod so as he can get his next fix.Originally Posted by Mr Gribbs
Alcohol is a dangerous drug. No doubt if it was discovered today in a laboratory it would be banned.

Or clandestinely introduced to Russia during the cold war to turn the entire country into miserable alcoholics.. Oh look..
What a load of bunk, I worked at a 7-Eleven overnight for about six months when I was 20 about 10 years ago, I dealt with both crack heads and drunks all night, I'd rather have a dozen crack heads for every drunk. You can't bargain with people on alcohol, they are belligerent and stupid, while crack heads will usually leave you alone after a few words. Where the fuck do you live? I live in a city with loads of crack heads and the ones into crime are usually into petty crime like shop lifting, not armed robbery. Crack heads usually stay away from violence because they don't want to get locked up, while drunks fill the holding tanks during the weekend because you can't control what you when you're drinking alcohol.
I've delt with crackheads too, I've had a knife to my throat by three crackheads and I've been robbed by crackheads, drunks are easy to deal with if you know how too, crackheads are much more desperate than drunks, if you had actually delt with them you would know thisOriginally Posted by Mr Gribbs
My experience has been much different, the majority of crack heads I've come across have been a nuisance, I know some crack heads that actually work and only smoke when they have money. This year alone in my city from the newspapers and watching news I would estimate around a dozen or so people have been killed in bars and three times that number wounded over slights like being told to not smoke.
Seriously, a lot of the members of this forum claim to be fervently against the death penalty, often calling it barbaric, but many have willingly moved to a country that uses the death penalty for silly things like drugs and criticizing certain people? The death penalty is also only used against poor people, and not the influential and rich like the military who slaughter their own people and foreign journalist in the streets like pieces of dog shit.
To serious a subject to be flippant about, death penalty may not deter others from doing something similar but it certainly removes the person who will not be able to do it again. To easy to condemn acts like the video, unless one understands the mentality of the people and how they react to the public punishment how can we judge.
Maybe the reason is that Iran isn't democratic, is run by muzzie fundamentalists, hates Western values, wants to wipe Israel off the map and that's just a few reasons.Originally Posted by TizMe
However, I'll agree with some others Iran should have neuclear weapons...only express delivery of course!
At least they punished the perpetrators rather than the rape victim, as seems to be the norm in ghan & paki. Kermanshah, where this public execution happened, is a Kurdish province. They practise a more extreme form of Islam than is the case in the majority of Iran, for example when you hear about one of these barbaric stonings (fortunately rare) it is invariably from the kurdish or other ethnic minority provinces in the north of Iran.
America doesn't publicly execute people "for failing to adhere to the official code on dress or gender segregation" in public including in front of children. They also don't stand them on the tops of buses with ropes tied around their necks and drive the buses away. The US doesn't decapitate anyone or lob off anyone's hands or feet. They don't stone anyone to death for fucking their girlfriend or the neighbor's wife.Originally Posted by dirtydog
I'll bet Norway wishes they had the death penalty right about now. That horse's ass has admitted it and there are witnesses that it was him, but they can only throw him in jail for 21 years max unless they go for special circumstances.
I don't know why people are banging on about crack cocaine, Meth is the biggest problem these days.
And most law enforcement agencies agree that it is causing an increase in crimes, including but not limited to burglaries, muggings, etc., as the desperate addicts crave their next fix.
And it's piss easy and cheap to make.
From a US Newspaper:
Crystal meth crime wave is on the way to First Coast
By The Times-Union
Call it the rural cocaine.
Georgia's prisons are overflowing. And the inmates fueling the boom aren't those who committed their crimes while heeding the call of crack cocaine, but those who were heeding the call of another seductive substance -crystal methamphetamine.
