The list goes on and yes, I'd rather see Israel taking care of the current morons ruling Iran than believe the region will all get involved to see Iran happily become re converted as a friendly Muslim State, not a nuke-threatening mad dog which is asking to be annihilated sooner than later.

I would argue that foreign/military aid mostly benefits the donor nation. If I'm a congressman and their is a tank or missle factory in my district, I'm sure as hell going to vote for military aid, even if it goes to Lichtenstein (Real trouble spot...) if it helps me to get re elected.
