DO you have a craving for sausage or get upset about bad timekeeping? Then you might actually be GERMAN.
Geneticists claim HALF of Brits could have German blood in them.
Up to 200,000 Anglo-Saxon immigrants came to south-east England in the Fifth and Sixth Centuries after the Romans left in AD410.
Biologists at University College London studied a Y chromosome found in nearly all German and Danish men - and found it is surprisingly common in Britain.
Supported by archaeological studies on teeth and enamel, experts have concluded that 50 per cent of Brits have some German in their genetic make-up.

    So, how German are you?
If you answered mostly As, you are as British as talking about the weather and queuing. You're liable to burst into Rule Britannia at any moment - no German blood here.
If you answered mostly Bs, your German genes might just be shining through - but you are still proud to be British.
If you answered mostly Cs... are you sure you're not from Berlin? You undoubtedly have German blood coursing through your veins, you are ruthlessly efficient... and would undoubtedly take a damned good penalty.

That explains the lack of intelligence among the Essex community.

Herman got it wrong as usual, it's the Germans and English that have a lot of Scandinavian blood, Germany is half and half on our blood and then Suthern European blood, it is called the Scandinavian Y chromosome

But the "Master race" have always longed for it to become theirs, especially the little darkish Roman types

I realize that this is "tongue in cheek" and probably designed to draw out the Anglo-supremacists such a Marmite, but WHY is this surprising? English is a Germanic language and even our Queen has Germanic ancestry. As the Merkans would say" Big Fucking Deal"!!!

This makes sense more so than any other theory.
But we forget the Moors' ancestreal influence - certainly in the U.K.

Nope, they're a fusion configuration of haplotypes shared by Scandinavians and French, which simply adjusts the variation of percentages of these, mainly resulting in a reinforcement of most of them, and a diminishment of the ones that are less frequently associated with western and northern europeans.

nothing to do with 'cking gravy.

...and I very much doubt Einstein shares the same DNA as Schiffer and Becker...

    1. the y-chromosome hapogroup in question predominates in the area once known as the Danegeld, and in East Anglia... it's mainly eastern England... and calling the chromome German, makes as much sense as calling it Pakistani, as such countries and cultural entities did not exist during the main phase of it's propagation.

It's t'other way round... the Moors of Barbary kidnapped enormous numbers of people from the west coast of Europe during the piracy period more often associated with the Caribbean, there's a lot of Irish in the Atlas mountains and Algeria...

Yip, the earliest settlers are thought to have migrated by boat to Ireland from spain. Also these people reached North America. Apparently happened when the Atlantic was a much calmer Ocean and the Ice was further south and had a calming effect.

An American Archeologist was debunked for years, after finding artifacts that pre dated and had european design features completely different than the Asian Land bridge theory would suggest. It was only when they found a gene that could only be attributed to Northern Spain was his reputation was somewhat restored.
