Dominatrix dungeon boss hauled before court because 'massage parlour' breached fire regulations and endangered manacled clients

It was officially a massage parlour, but the manacles and chains suggested a variety of other services were available.
When fire safety officers visited Scarlett’s they were shocked by the potential deathtrap conditions, a court heard yesterday.
The building included a ‘dungeon’, various restraints and dimly-lit rooms which could not be opened from the outside when locked from the inside.

Dungeon mistress: Dawn Donaghue is paying the price for endangering her chained-up clients
Yesterday single mother-of-four Dawn Donaghue, who ran Scarlett’s, was ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order after she admitted breaching fire regulations.
The premises in an industrial unit next to a garage workshop in Manchester also included a room with a four-poster bed and restraints, and rooms called ‘mirror’ and ‘jacuzzi’.

Prosecutor Joseph Hart told Bolton Crown Court that firemen went to Scarlett’s in May last year for a pre-arranged fire safety audit.
He said: ‘When they arrived there were two women on the premises. One was a receptionist and the other was dressed in sleepwear.’

Red hot hazard: The ramshackle massage parlour was found to breach a host of safety rules
Firemen found ‘obstacles in the corridor’ and an emergency exit being used as a ‘changing area’.
‘This was a high risk environment with low lighting,’ said Mr Hart. ‘There were rooms which were dark and dingy, equipped with restraints, manacles and chains.’
Lisa Roberts, defending, said Donaghue rented the premises and thought fire regulations were the responsibility of the landlord. Once she was made aware it was her responsibility, she put measures in place to comply.
Mrs Roberts told the court that Donaghue rented rooms to ‘ladies of a certain age competing with younger and possibly more attractive ladies’.
She said: ‘There were only one or two customers a day. They spent a lot of days sitting around chatting and drinking tea.’
Donaghue admitted five breaches of fire safety regulations. As well as the community order she was also ordered to pay £240 toward prosecution costs.

Jeez. Pretty soon nobody will be allowed out on the streets because it's dangerous.

Living in nanny-states-gone-wild is thankfully a nightmare I've managed to avoid in my life.

Given a choice between being controlled and effectively enslaved as an exchange for a safety net, I'll wing it on my own thanx velly much. I've crashed and burned a few times in my life without any assistance from society, and I still prefer freedom.

    "Hauled before the court"

Presumably resplendent in manacles and chains, possibly blindfolded and led in by warders with whips

Together with lawyers and judges in black robes and wigs it must have been a colourful and erotic site

Jesus H Christ, if you're into masochism you'd pay 50 quid just to look at that and consider it value for money.

The regulations are put in place to protect the public whether they be individuals that like to get spanked or a member of the general public.

Being trapped in a burning building because some fok wit don't give a toss about fire regulations ain't a very pleasant way to go.

Remember the Santika fire in bangkok ? A shit load of people died because of unenforced fire regulations and this is a major cause of loss of life in Thailand and Asia in general.

Not that you would give a fuk as you would be running away screaming like a girl whilst the fire fighters are going in.
    Stroller is a Yerman faggot.

I think she should be made to do 60 hours of push-ups as part of a 12-month community order as that will save the NHS a lot on her health bills. Wait - maybe she's also a Thai biker with her Taywin sandals.

They could have stripped her down, rolled her in flour til they found the wet spot - and stuck something there
