I bet there are an increasing number of Americans who would prefer a return to British Rule, given the shit sandwich many of them are having to munch through at the moment.

    None that I know of.
Nobama is proof what happens to a country when a neighborhood activist is elected.

Five months later, on April 5, police applied to the courts to extend the period of detention from 36 hours to the maximum allowed of 96 hours.

But the district judge refused the application, saying that the 96 hours had expired months ago.
He was arrested and released, the police aint got no evidence, they are just fuking with the guy, if they had evidence they would arrest him again, I agree with the judges ruling on this, the police are getting too much power.

Quite right. If Parliament disagees with the ruling then they have the opportunity to change it, whether by seeking leave to appeal or to enact legislation.

On the question of undesirable immigrants thwarting removal on the grounds of a potential human rights abuse, the only solution would be to withdraw from the 1951 Convention and the EHRC under which we are obligated.

Our membership of the EU is dependent on our observance of the EHRC and rulings made by the courts under its provisions.

We could no more leave the EU than turn the clock back to that mythical time when all British were white English.
