Dying truck driver ignored by motorists on M60
Recovery truck driver Denis Livesley was left dying in the road as other motorists drove round him after he was hit by a car on the M60, an inquest has heard.

Livesley was loading a crashed Volvo on to his vehicle on a motorway when a Volkswagen Golf skidded on ice and struck him.
Drivers in other cars swerved round him as he lay face down on a slip road of the M60 near Sale, Greater Manchester.
The 60-year-old, from Oldham, who once worked as a roadie for Elton John and Sting, was eventually attended to by passers-by including a doctor and then an ambulance crew but was pronounced dead at Trafford General Hospital. The scenario emerged as a jury returned a verdict of unlawful killing at an inquest into Mr Livesley’s death which ocurred in December 2009.
Laura Warmoth who was travelling to work told the Stockport hearing: ‘I witnessed motorists manoeuvring around him and driving off without stopping.’
Coroner John Pollard asked the Crown Prosecution Service to review a police decision to take no action against VW driver Sophie Wilkinson, 23, of Bolton.
