A US coffee shop that made headlines around the world for having bikini-clad baristas has been forced to close down.
Perky Cups was evicted from a shopping centre in Denver, Colorado, after allegedly breaching the terms of its lease and failing to pay rent.
Store owner Jason Bernal and building landlord Greg Coleman are now locked in a court dispute over the alleged unpaid money.
Mr Coleman claims the shop violated the lease by sending staff dressed in bikinis out onto the street when it did not have a permit to trade outside.



Perky Cups infuriated several nearby residents and traders by employing the scantily-clad women to attract customers.
Local councillor Molly Markert last month started a petition signed by about 30 people calling for a boycott of the shop and surrounding businesses.
Mr Bernal has said he plans to find a new location for the store in the coming weeks.

For some time now, Markert's had beef with Aurora's first bikini coffee shop. She evidently could quell her indignation as long as the girls stayed inside the place, but when they ventured outside to sell hot dogs, the councilwoman took it to the management. Back in April of 2007, Markert was involved in an "incident" when a staff member at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora told her she couldn't come into a closed meeting about her daughter's graduation. After some terse words, an infuriated Markert screamed "Do you know who I am?" and jabbed the staffer with her forearm. Initially charged with harassment and third-degree assault, Markert pleaded down to one count of "interference with school staff," and had to do 24 hours of community service.


She might have been quite pretty 40 or so years ago. Still better looking than what most Pattaya swingers would be able to seduce in their homelands though.
