Thai National Violently Murdered in Canada

Apichat Sudsaneh was violently stabbed to death after he went to the assistance of his co-workers that had been the victim of a mugging. Mr. Sudsaneh had been working for Thermo Design Engineering Ltd. as a welder for the past couple of years. Sadly, the 38-year-old foreign worker was due to return home to his native Thailand this week was stabbed to death early Sunday morning (June 6).

A pack of roving thugs are suspected in the slaying say police. “They’re like a pack of wild dogs — they hunt in packs,” said homicide Det. Bill Clark. Police are now asking for the public's help to locate the three suspects who are being described as Caucasian males between the age of 18 and 20-years-old.
Clark said all the victims were innocent and that the attack wasn't racially motivated. "I can't believe it happened," said Wayne Moorhead, 64. "What kind of people live in this city now?" He said Sudsaneh was a single welder. "He was a great guy. He was always telling jokes and making people laugh."

Totally disgusting and reprehensible event. Heartbreaking too as it is reported that the deceased had been supporting his mother and had just finished having a house built for her.
Kindness is spaying and neutering one's companion animals.

One does however have to note, that it can be taken as given that his murder will be fully and extensively investigated, and that, if caught, his murderer/s will be given a fair trial and sentenced if found guilty.

Very, very few farangs here in Thailand (if any) can have the same expectation.

nidhogg, do you mean the fair trial, the catching of the suspects, or both? (Or neither <heh>).

In Thailand, a foreigner killed this way would have deemed to have committed suicide by throwing himself repeatedly at an innocent Thai who just happened to have an 18" commando knife in his hand because he was sharpening a pencil.

^ less of the inane comments...

A very sad event; sounded like a thoroughly decent individual. These scroats need catching, and fast.

Awful I really can't understand why people have to resort to murder. Especially when it's a group of people, you'd think 1 or 2 would have a conscience. Then again mob mentality...makes me sick.

You're giving the Canadian system far too much credit.

    Because I live in Thailand.

All murders are tragic. In this case the family has a reasonable expectation of the murderers being punished for their crime.

Families of foreigners murdered in Thailand do not have the same expectation.

“They’re like a pack of wild dogs — they hunt in packs,” sounds more like motorbike gangs on Ratchada.
