New Zealand teen who was hit by car after flashing breasts found guilty of disorderly behavior

Flashing teen found guilty after being hit by car

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — A New Zealand teen who was flashing her breasts at passing cars has been found guilty of disorderly behavior for the prank, which ended with her in a hospital after a distracted driver ran into her. Cherelle May Dudfield, 18, pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared in Invercargill District Court, the Southland Times newspaper reported Wednesday.

Dudfield, egged on by her friends, was flashing passing motorists from a traffic island in the middle of a four-lane road in the southern city of Invercargill on Sept. 27.

The alcohol-fueled prank went awry when one of the vehicles crashed into her as she tried to run to the side of the road, police Inspector Olaf Jensen said.

“She was extremely lucky as the vehicle had slowed because of her behavior,” he told The Associated Press. “She rolled up onto the bonnet (hood) and cracked the windscreen before she came down with some minor injuries and was taken to hospital.”

The prank occurred in the city center, where a ban on alcohol use is in force, he noted.

    Dudfield was fined $198.
Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute, but set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

    WELLINGTON, New Zealand (CBS/AP)
Cherelle May Dudfield might have a future at Hooters - after she pays her $200 fine for disorderly behavior, that is.

The 18-year-old New Zealand girl found out the hard way that flashing can be dangerous after a distracted driver ran into her as she was exposing her breasts while standing the middle of a street.

A police inspector in the case said that Dudfield is "extremely lucky" that she only suffered minor injuries after rolling onto the car's hood and cracking the windshield.

"I was stupid... Don’t get drunk and stand in the middle of the road and flash anyone 'cause it hurts when you get hit," the Kiwi flash queen said of the of September incident.

Judge David Holderness hit Dudfield with a $200 fine.

This is the best write up on it so far.

NZ gal's Bulgarian airbags halt traffic

    Flashes jubs, gets run over

A New Zealand teenager whose mates dared her to flash her chesticles at passing motorists brought traffic to a standstill when an appreciative driver ran her over, the Southland Times reports.
Cherelle May Dudfield, 18, stood in the middle of an Invercargill road with her assets exposed on 27 September. This turned out to be ill-advised, and despite her attempts to evade an oncoming vehicle, she "rolled over the bonnet, cracking the windscreen".
An uninjured Dudfield earned herself an appearance before Invercargill District Court on a disorderly behaviour rap, where she pleaded guilty to improper use of Bulgarian airbags.
Duty solicitor John Fraser suggested the driver involved could have been a little more careful, but conceded he may have been "distracted".
Judge David Holderness said Dudfield was lucky the consequences weren't more serious and slapped her with a NZ$275 fine.
