Bank Security Van Guard On Run With £10m

A French bank security guard is on the run after vanishing with £10m of cash in his armoured van.

Police have launched a manhunt for security guard Tony Musulin, 39

The suspect, named as Tony Musulin, made off with the cash while his two colleagues were collecting more money from a bank.
Police raided the suspect's apartment to find it empty, without bed sheets and with no food in the fridge.
All major airports out of France are on alert for the fugitive and border controls have been notified, a police spokesman said.
Lyon prosecutor Xavier Richard said the 39-year-old suspect appeared to have acted alone and prepared his escape in advance.
The suspect is a single man without children and had worked for the company, Loomis France, for 10 years.

Guard vanished in Lyon

It is understood Musulin had an exemplary work record for Loomis, which specializes in transporting money and valuables.
His own bank accounts have been cleared, investistigators said.
The driver had picked up the money on Thursday at the Banque de France branch in Lyon with two other security workers.
They then stopped at another bank and while his colleagues were inside, made off.
His vehicle was recovered several hours later in an isolated location near railway lines, with the cash gone.
Mr Richard said the stolen money was in new bills and investigators have no record of the numbers.
As no violence was involved in the theft, Musulin risks only three years in jail if caught and charged.

I dedicate this song to him.

Stereophonics - Everyday I Think Of Money

I drive a truck
It carries money
And Everday
I dream up my fantasies
Yesterday, I bought my beach house
A little place just off the coast of France
Everyday, I think of money
Everyday, I think of running

I love my truck, I love my family
Stacked in the back, the good life surrounds me
Could tie my right hand man
And put him some place
Then I'd ditch the truck
And buy a new face
Everyday, I think of money
Everyday, I think of someway

It can't buy you love
It can't give you a soul
Can pick you up
Can down you low
Can drag you out, of the hole
You dug
Yourself
Out of ... again

Sat in a truck, it carries convicts
My hands are bound, to the seat by handcuffs
Tomorrow, I'll maybe walk around the yard
Or paint in my cell, and hate imprisonment
Everyday I think of money
Everyday I miss my family

Bank Security Van Guard on the Run

Once again, this group of readers have shown their ability to wish a crook luck, side with the person that obviously should be put in jail for life, and then sit there and start a fan club.

Tell me that the world has not,"Gone to hell in a hand basket"! This guy should be strung up by the balls, laid out to dry in the hot sun, for about 2 years. It's people like the readers here on Teakdoor that want to make this guy a hero. What in the hell is wrong with all of you? I can only hope that life balances out for you, and you find out ," What you give out in life always comes back to you"!

The guys punishment for his crime is that he'll be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life (or until the law catches up with him). As he didn't harm anyone in making off with his haul, i suspect that many people will wish him good luck, particularly as the money originated from currently one of societys less favourite corporations, a bank. Lawyers, Government Officials and Bankers have been seen in recent years as 'crooks in suits' so in some respects it's quite refreshing to a come across a wee bit of 'payback'

As well as he planned this, I would presume he had a plan in place as to where he would hole up, and a place in the sun to which he would eventually flee. No wife, no kids, shit job for ten years, nobody hurt - just drove away. Here's pina coladas on the beach to ya!

Yeah but this is Ocean's 11 stuff, no-one hurt, one guy acting alone. No doubt he had the cosmetic surgery and false passports pre-arranged as well and is on his way to Thailand as we speak.

I'm rooting for him. T-shirts are hilarious.

Sharia & all that?

If you think the bank's more deserving of this money than the man on the street, you're a crook yourself, in some form or another. They likely paid him minimum wage for those ten years. He deserves his day in the sun.

You only live once.

Why not?

They're not here to justify themselves to the likes of you.

A job well done for that guy, I hope he makes it far away to a place with cheap drinks, lovely ladies, and a great climate. And no extradition laws.

I hope he's spent every bit of it on short time girls and booze before they catch up with him. It's nice to see the little guy screw big corporations for a welcome change. Did they catch those thieves in Sweden yet? The ones who used a heliocopter to clean out the cash office?

Whats wrong with lauding this guy-some people need to lighten up.
banks have been robbing us for years-hence the saying in australia:
I remember when people used to rob banks.
