It's fairly easy to find instances of Christians, Buddhists, Hindus etc. going mad and killing people, but they always commit such acts to nearly universal condemnation by their co-believers. When Muslims attack, the silence is notable except for isolated cases of groups like CAIR trying to institute damage control in order to disguise their utter glee at yet another strike against the infidel. Islam is a mental illness.

Is it a world superpower conducting 'wars' that were started by a guy who said he was inspired by god or a tiny minority of fanatics in a religion that manage to make most Americans cream their pants watching FOX?

In my view the criminals who blew up the WTC should have been prosecuted as criminals, not glorified into some sort of anti-heroic anti-freedom fighters. When your mate Tim McVeigh blew up the OK city building which religion did you logically retaliate against? When it comes to logical thinking then religion, patriotism, xenophobia et al go out of the window. Go back to cowering in your undisclosed location Dick, the moooooslins are going to kill you dontcha know? Or perhaps grovel before your chosen deity, safe in your comfy knowledge that you are so much better than them. | |

| Americans seem to love a bogeyman to fight against. Whether it be communists, blacks or Muslims. With so many paranoid people running around with guns in the place there's bound to be a few Muslims killed sooner or later. And no doubt many thousands of US Muslims will be persecuted in this new wave of hysterical and paranoid patriotic fervor that the Yanks are so famous for. Yet even Bush went to pains to point out that his so called war on terror was NOT a war against Muslims. I guess he had to do that because the worlds main oil suppliers are all Muslim countries. The lynch mob mentality of people like Jet and Booners here surely translates to several million Americans with similar twisted views. Dont worry about "reds under the beds" anymore, --- all Muslims are now a potential terrorist threat to the good American people. The ironic thing is that it could well end up being a self fulfilling wish as persecution of minority groups can sometimes drive individuals over the edge to mental illness and result in violent reprisals. Something that appears to have cumulated in the Fort Hood massacre. |

Not the first time the Army has had to deal with similar problems. Examples; Japanese Americans serving during WW2 and racial conflict in the military in the 1960s when race riots in the US were the norm. DoD will likely come up with cultural awareness cross training programs and the like to attempt to instill "trust" amongst the troops. Other than this, doubt DoD will do much more because the issue is not as severe as the "media" would have us believe.

Here in Malaysia there is a battle between Sharia law and Constitutional law . . . so far religious law is losing out . . . but even in countries like Saudi the leaders are having trouble with Islam being above the leadership . . . and the royal family is doing its best to stay on top . . . as it were.

| precisely, so if they cannot swear allegiance to the country they are sworn to protect, particularly if that country is at war with countries that identify primarily with the object of the soldier first allegiance, the soldier is a danger. Do not allow muslims to serve in the U.S. or British armed forces. ( or Aus, Canada etc, you know what I mean)

| Selamat Datang | It would be interesting, in a purely academic sense, so see what would happen in the US if the US were to invade and/or bomb Israel. I doubt the Jewish population or soldiers serving in the US armed forces would simply accept that and line up to go fight and kill Jews. |
