    Senior teaches yob a lesson

Dipshit yob decides to break into his next door neighbor's house. Said neighbor is a 72 year old former boxing champion.

    Before:

    After:

A knife-wielding burglar had a shock when he attacked a pensioner in his home - and discovered his victim was a retired boxer.

McCalium, a barman, was having a rowdy party at his house on August 18 last year when police turned up after a complaint from a neighbour.

McCalium assumed it had been made by Mr Corti - who won the National Association of Boys' Clubs Championship in Birmingham when he was 16 - and broke into his neighbour's home at 8am the following day.

Mr Corti, who was with his wife Margaret at the time, dodged out of the way of his attacker's lunge and punched him, giving him a black eye and a split lip, before subduing him.

    Don't mess with this dude:

Good for him, but it can backfire so easily. Excerpt from an email I received a few days ago about an elderly friend & colleague in Canada who had dropped of the radar...

On May 14, XXXX was crossing the street to his apartment when a guy on a skate board
passed him and nearly knocked him down. XXXX yelled at him to watch where he was going, then a second guy came along and punched him in the mouth knocking out two teeth.
Both boys stopped and began to beat him up. His dog Nam did her best to fight them off, but didn't have much luck. XXXX had a concussion, cracked ribs, a sprained wrist and a banged up knee, and a rather bad cut to his inner lower lip. He was in the hospital for quite some time, and was finally released last Sunday. He is now staying with some friends on one of the Gulf Islands for a couple of weeks until he can regain some of his strength.

This guy has been helping others and animals all his life, and in fact, the dog, Nam, mentioned is one of ours who was badly scalded & disfigured as a pup & whom he took to Canada.

I'm glad the guy in the OP managed to teach the youngster a lesson. Just wish it had turned out better in my friend's case.

I know a sixty year old woman who had her handbag snatched and by a young man on a bicycle and she grabbed the back of the bike, he fell in the gutter and she got her bag back and the butchers came out of the shop nearby and gave him a whalloping.

He was lying in the gutter and crying like a big girl.

Maybe 15 years ago in rural south Georgia,USA, a disabled man who had lost both legs and was confined to a wheel chair, was being robbed each month when his check came. After several months of this, he had someone take him to town and bought a 12 ga shotgun.
No charges were pressed for his killing 2 teenage punks.

Surprising, because Uk law normally sides with the dooshbags and jails the decent people in cases like this.

My downstairs neighbor (a very big Arab lady) was cooking a big pot of chicken soup, her favorite, one evening. An arsonist on parole tried to break into her house...kitchen door. She slammed the door on his hand and stabbed it with a kitchen knife. We all heard him scream and came running. He was gone. He came back later and set fire to our three story apt. He went back to the slammer.

An almost identical incident in Anniston, Alabama about twenty years ago. A friend in law enforcement told me about an elderly African-American couple who were tired of having young punks come in and beat the old man until he gave them his Social Security check. About the third time this happened, he was ready for them with a rifle. Shot and killed one of them and the rest scattered. The police pressed no charges and, in fact, identified the other attackers by checking associations of the one who was killed. I love this kind of rough justice. Nearly impossible in decadent countries which prevent citizens from owning guns.

Sadly yes, then on top of that there's the cowardly repercussions - when this young idiot low life, (one of at least 3 billion human beings that really don't need to be here), recovers - he may have arson on his mind.

I agree with you but then again, ah - can of worms I'm afraid and I'm not spending all of today debating this.

I wonder what hurt more, the beating or the humiliation from the publicity?

My guess is the yob was pretty out of it after partying till 8am, a young man with a knife would have a big advantage over such an old boxer.

A great story and good on the old bloke, I just hope there's not a rash stories of elderly ppl badly hurt while trying to fend of burglars.
