    Ain't them Canucks Fun Fxxkers

Horrifying cruelty | Winnipeg | News | Winnipeg Sun

What are these? .A mentally challenged Winnipeg woman was held a virtual prisoner for several months while her captors repeatedly burned her body with cigarettes, beat her and pushed her down a flight of stairs, a court heard yesterday.
Dale Hendrickson, 24, his sister April Armstrong, 33, their mother Thelma Hendrickson, 62, and Amanda Omalley, 21, are facing possible sentences ranging from six years in prison to several months in jail.
"This is a case of unbelievable cruelty," said Crown attorney Shelley McFadyen. "It is hard to fathom what would possess people to do it. It was as though human decency was just suspended."
Court heard Thelma Hendrickson allowed the then 20-year-old victim to move in with her in October 2005 after she claimed her father's roommate had touched her inappropriately. Hendrickson described herself as a "mother figure" to the victim, who has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, McFadyen said.
Trouble began the following February, soon after Dale Hendrickson, his then-fiancee Omalley, and Armstrong moved into the Pembina Highway apartment.
Accounts differ as to what sparked the subsequent campaign of terror and abuse. It ended four months later when members of the victim's family, concerned they hadn't seen or heard from her, called police.
Police found the victim in an upstairs bedroom, emaciated, with two black eyes, bruises and burn marks all over her body, and clumps of hair missing from her head.
The victim spent two months in hospital. Her memory of the attacks returned only slowly and police did not arrest the four accused until November 2006.
    BURNED VICTIM'S ARM
The four accused provided police statements admitting to a horrifying array of assaults. Dale Hendrickson admitted burning the victim's arm with a barbecue fork he heated on a stove element.
"He indicated when he heard a sizzling sound he would take it off," McFadyen said.
Hendrickson also said he routinely put out lit cigarettes on the victim's body.
All four accused admitted pushing or trying to push the victim down the basement stairs "toboggan style."
Armstrong admitted to punching the victim and burning her with a cigarette, while Omalley admitted she punched the victim and hit her with a wet towel. Thelma Hendrickson admitted to lighting the victim's shirt on fire.
Judge Kelly Moar adjourned sentencing to next week.

Jeeze. Some people are beyond belief. What on earth could be so wrong with someone's psyche that they could do that? Never mind 4 people acting together. Sickening.

Well, that is the dilemma, isn't it? One person can be evil, but why would four people do that kind of thing?

Did they have so much of a victim mentality themselves that they had to find someone to victimise, to elevate their menalities, from victim to oppresser?
