Thread: U.K. taxi driver decapitates himself

A London taxi driver decapitated himself in his taxi by tying one end of a rope around his neck and the other end to a lamp post. The man,believed to be in his thirty's,then drove off at speed.His head was found yards from his taxi.The death happened shortly after midnight near a disused filling station.Police and ambulance services pronounced him dead at the scene. London Evening Standard--Horror as black cab driver.

Yep, decapitation can be pretty fatal.

I have heard of this being done a few times before, so not origional, but it is always fatal.
I wonder what it would do if you rolled the window up on the rope,

I have heard it said that when you cut a taxi drivers head off he will sometimes go on driving round looking for a fair for as long as 3 minutes although I have never seen it myself.

One of the taxi firms I worked for a driver died of a hert attack whilst working on a thursday afternoon. The company charged his Mrs for him being on the system until the following Monday morning (which is the normal rental term) and then charged her again for taking his radio equipment out of the car.
