| R.I.P "The Dog" | England Norfolk - Internet tip foils school attack Internet tip foils school attack A TEENAGER who boasted on the internet about a plan to attack his school was arrested yesterday after cops got a tip-off from CANADA. The lad, 16, is said to have posted a threat on a social networking site. A member of the public in Canada read the message and contacted British police. Officers went to the school and identified the pupil from his nickname on the site. They searched him during a lesson and found a knife, matches and a canister of flammable liquid. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and making threats to commit criminal damage. The youth, one of 950 pupils at Attleborough High School in Norfolk, was still being quizzed last night. Norfolk Police confirmed nobody was hurt. Supt Kate Elliott said: “We acted swiftly to keep the public safe. “The youth’s home address was also searched and a computer seized for analysis.” |
