Trump cancels requirement that U.S. report civilian deaths from drone strikes

President Trump on Wednesday revoked a requirement that U.S. intelligence officials publicly report the number of people killed in drone strikes and other attacks on terrorist targets outside of war zones.

Trump ended the requirement with an executive order on Wednesday. A law Congress passed last year requires the Defense Department to provide Congress with a report of civilian casualties, though parts of it may be classified.

What everything the poor POTUS has to think on?

Wondering whether somebody will help him and advise what to cancel, withdraw, etc...

Inconsequential collateral damage and a waste of counting resources in the quest for oil.

Best let the US gov know Booners. They might stop liberating and bringing democracy to nations that coincidentally have large oil reserves. Waste of US treasure and really not needed.

Civilians deserve to die because they're in the way?

I think he gets confused sometimes: he's not sure if he hates Islamic terrorists or wants to be just like them.

During President Obama’s two terms in office, he approved 542 such targeted strikes in 2,920 days—one every 5.4 days.

From his inauguration through today, President Trump had approved at least 36 drone strikes or raids in 45 days—one every 1.25 days.

    https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/op...074243420.html

That’s an increase of 432 percent.

Trump now now reigns as the Drone Ranger and is trying to hide the fact he is killing more civilians.

You're comparing 8 years of Bobo's presidency with the first two months of Trump's.

You reek of desperation, Kit. You too, Hairy.

^ No, comparing per day because Trump hasn’t been in office as long.

    Proportions.

You're from the South, aren't you?

Strikes in the days and weeks following inauguration had been in the works for many months. That article was written in March 2017. Get a grip.

What's Trump done since then? You need to follow your own advice about posting bullshit.

    ^^From November last year.

Trump Ramped Up Drone Strikes in America’s Shadow Wars

In his first two years in office, Donald Trump launched 238 drone strikes in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia—way beyond what the ‘Drone President’ Barack Obama did.

And did Trump's drone strikes target Bobo's list of weddings, flea markets, and bake sales, or were they, for a pleasant change, legitimate combatant targets?

Obobo is and will always be the Drone Ranger, slaughtering more little brown fukkers than Planned Parenthood.

Desperation is resorting to personal attacks, changing the subject, and “Donald Trump is still President” instead of proving me wrong.

By the way, we won’t know now when Trump kills innocent brown people because he is not letting the data be released.

Don't go crying to the rest of the world, as Bush did, when the fight is brought to your doorstep in another 9/11.

It absolutely was crying. Petulant crying. Got butthurt and couldn't retaliate without LOTS of help, so put the pressure on, including the notorious diplomatic-speak emotional blackmail, "Yer either with us, or agin us".

    Aluminium tubes for example.
And it was multi-faceted...they tried (an succeeded) to affect the female constituancey with things like "Those raghead bastards make women wear burkas!!!".
    Etc. Etc.

To be fair, it was Rumsfeld, Cheney et al manipulating The Village Idiot, but he has to wear that mantle.
