Just adds one more country to the list of 40 or so to which Trump hasn't yet bothered to send an Ambassador.

Yes, but that's not my point. The point is, just because he's stopped at Crimea doesn't mean he hasn't got his eye on some other neighbouring territory - and NATO deployments are a good deterrent.

At least Putin comprehends the valued concept of minding one's own "household" business.

Ambassadors are traditionally appointed on the basis of a formal invitation made by a host nation.
In recent years, and most recently (in particular), a number of nations have begun to quietly distance themselves, from both the U.S. & U.K. I wonder if that > < behavior pattern could be the reason why?

I kinda think THE LORD has no need for the Eastern Europe dross and already has Western Europe paying their tribute every time they make a cup of coffee, watch TV and take a hot shower.

Doubt folks are knocking down his door to apply. No way any sane competent diplomat would consider working in his administration.

^Not career types, but many, many Ambassadors are/were political appointees favored with a post in return for cash or political favors; sure Trump has many of that type of sycophant hanging around.
