Iran's Khamenei urges Muslim nations to unite against U.S.: state TV

ANKARA (Reuters) - Iran’s supreme leader called on Muslim nations to unite against the United States, saying Tehran would never yield to “bullying,” state television reported on Thursday.

“The Iranian nation has successfully resisted bullying attempts by America and other arrogant powers and we will continue to resist... All Muslim nations should stand united against America and other enemies,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said.

Iran’s top authority criticized Trump for saying on Tuesday some countries in the Middle East “wouldn’t last a week” without U.S. protection.

“Such remarks are humiliation for Muslims ... Unfortunately there is war in our region between Muslim countries. The backward governments of some Muslim countries are fighting with other countries,” Khamenei said.

Iran and Saudi Arabia have long been locked in a proxy war, competing for regional supremacy from Iraq to Syria and Lebanon to Yemen.

A little light humour before the serious discussions begin.

Since most of the muslim world doesn't think Iran are proper muslims, I doubt there will be a clamour to join them.

True, though they do occasionally cooperate against the mutual enemy.

Pan-Arabism died with Nasser, Khamenei. There is currently as much chance of a rapport between Sunni & Shiite as there is between the US & Russia. Mebbe next century.

Not rapport, sab, cooperation, during and after which they will continue slaughtering each other until their next cooperation against the Satans; rinse and repeat.

    Have no fear "arry.

The ameristani "Muslims" "think" the blonde buffoon needs to rethink his Iranian stance. I'm not sure if THE LORD controls Morning Consult and Politico, but you might know.

56% of US voters want Trump to keep Iran nuke deal as deadline looms

"Over half of US voters support the Iran nuclear deal, according to a new poll, as the May 12 deadline for Donald Trump to decide to scramble or save it, approaches.

The survey, conducted by Morning Consult and Politico from April 26 to May 1, revealed a record-high endorsement of 56 percent with 1,991 respondents registered to vote wanting to preserve the 2015 nuclear accord.

The number opposing the deal, referred to by Trump as “the worst deal ever,” amounted to 26%. The number was said to be at its lowest since the media company began tracking the topic in August 2015.

Some 68 percent of Democrats thought the US should maintain its commitment to the Iran nuclear deal. Republican voters found themselves split: with 46 percent insisting on keeping the deal and 42 percent advocating the renewal of sanctions. The accord was also backed by the majority (51%) of independent voters.

Conducted at a pivotal time for the US, the survey demonstrates a strong inclination towards the non-renegotiation of the agreement that is hanging by a thread after Trump threatened to withdraw from it. The 2015 Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), was negotiated under former president Barack Obama and aimed to curtail Tehran's nuclear activities in exchange for an easing of economic sanctions."

It doesn't matter what baldy orange cunto thinks.

If he pulls out, the rest of the partners will be rubbing their hands with glee at getting all the business instead.

I would imagine Boeing in particular will be bending his ear.

Haven't Iran already placed an order with Russia for a few passenger jets. Or are the orders fakes and the companies just move the deliveries around for those lower in the order list?

If they want to maintain their status as a third world country run by primates, there is probably not better way than buying Russian deathtraps.

Some haven't realized that there are countries no longer ruled by tsars and shahs...

All built by foreigners not the local chimps.

As evidenced by their hilarious find on the roof of the Iran Air HQ that was built by the blue suede shoes.

    Trouble at t'mill?

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is criticizing the blocking of the popular Telegram messaging app in the Islamic Republic, saying those in his administration weren’t the ones who shut off access.

The app, believed to be used by half of Iran’s 80 million people, was crucial in fanning nationwide protests in December and January.

Authorities temporarily blocked the app to calm the demonstrations, but Iran’s judiciary on Monday ordered
internet service providers to block access to the app. Since then, users largely haven’t been able to access it.

In a post on photo-sharing app Instagram, which isn’t blocked in
Iran, Rouhani said late Friday: “No social network or messenger were blocked ‘by this government’ and won’t be blocked.” The semi-official ISNA news agency also reported his remarks.
