Several people were killed and injured on Saturday when a car ploughed into pedestrians in the German city of Munster, local media reports said.
The DPA news agency said a car had hit bystanders in the western city.
Police confirmed there had been casualties but did not immediately say what happened.

The German killer who caused carnage by ramming his van into a cafe in Münster was a heavy metal fanatic who had been 'badly affected' by narrowly missing the attacks on the Bataclan in Paris in 2015, MailOnline can reveal.


Interior designer and bodybuilder Jens Ruther, 48, killed two in the attack before shooting himself. He had told friends of his 'shock' that he had attended a concert at the Bataclan shortly before the ISIS atrocity that left 89 dead.


'He told me how shocked he was that he'd missed what had happened in the Bataclan theatre by just a couple of weeks,' a source who asked not to be named told MailOnline. 'It was something that stayed with him.

'He had a Kalashnikov, which was disarmed and couldn't fire, which he'd kept in his luxury apartment after finding it during his travels around Eastern Europe.

'He'd lived in his penthouse apartment for at least 12 years so I got to know him just from small talk in the street or when he was sunning himself on his balcony in the summer.
