    420 mill.

thats a nice little earner for the government, and selling that site would have been a sensible move. unfortunately the money will, in all probability be used to increase the foreign aid budget for all the pakis, wogs and wobbleheads who benefit from britains largesse rather than improving the pay of frontline health service workers back in the uk.

to serve the needs of the mostly awful brits who reside and holiday here they should open small mini consulate offices in phuket, samui and pattaya to serve the needs of the drunkards and crims that might need some toothpaste and soap whilst they are locked up awaiting trial, facilitate the urgent needs of those sexpats intent on marrying their tattooed whores, and to issue pension certification letters to all those down at heel retirees who must be finding life so difficult these days.

One can always spot northern drag-ups who can never quite brush the muck off their clogs by their inherent cap-doffing towards the higher classes and their deference for what their little minds perceive as large amounts of money.

Dwelling on this amount for a moment or two let us consider it in a context slightly wider than some Northern ferret groper gazing at the pudendum of Gladys Dribblethorpe through the prism of the bottom of a pint glass recently drained of its contents of bothy brewed Twattingthwaite.

Let's make it a bit easier and round it up to 500 million.

So, it isn't even a day and half's expenditure on the NHS.

Or as a percentage of our average annual GDP, a mere 0.027%

    Gosh.

You are the lucky one, there's not enough cashiers for all of us.

Took a bit of working out, that one? But not bad for a pot-wash boy.

Well done. Now get back to peeling the spuds.

3.5 hectares according to this report in the Nation

But it says it was built on 3.5 hectares in 1922 so if 9 rai was sold off in 2006...

You are forgetting the subterranean James Bond style gadget factory that is there as well. That bumps up the value in Astons alone.

^It must be a well fitted out lab that Q has installed.

These figures are 3 years old but say that even central London land values (50M GBP/Hectare) are less than half of what was paid for the British embassy in BKK.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/...nited-kingdom/

These figures for 2018 seem to suggest around 30M GBP/Hectare for central London

Are you uplifted? Land value uplift and economic appraisal

If the embassy is only 2 hectares then it fetched over 200M GBP/Hectare

It really is a smallish site. I think HK Land owns Gaysorn next door(ish) so maybe they see the bigger picture. Just as likely to sit on it though and wait for an offer.
