London police are investigating an explosion on the London underground, it has been reported.

Emergency services are attending Parsons Green station in west London.
Transport for London tweeted: "We are investigating an incident at Parsons Green." The Metropolitan Police said: "We are aware of an incident at Parsons Green Tube station. Officers are in attendance."
The Metro said one of its reporters said several people at the station had suffered facial burns and a white container had exploded at the rear of a train.
An eyewitness told the BBC moments after getting on the train there was hysteria with people shouting "run" and there was a stampeded and she was concerned she would get injured. She said people were saying it was an explosion. She said her immediate reaction was that there had been an acid attack.
Media technology consultant Richard Aylmer-Hall, 53, was sitting on the District Line train bound for central London when panic unfolded at around 8.20am.
He said he saw several people injured, having apparently been trampled as they tried to escape.
He told the Press Association: "I was blissfully reading my paper and listening to a podcast and suddenly the whole world charged past me down the platform, down the Tube.
"I was on the Tube, we had just stopped at Parsons Green, I was on my way up from Wimbledon towards Paddington and suddenly there was panic, lots of people shouting, screaming, lots of screaming.
"There was a woman on the platform who said she had seen a bag, a flash and a bang, so obviously something had gone off.
"It was an absolutely packed, rush-hour District Line train from Wimbledon to Edgware Road.
"I saw crying women, there was lots of shouting and screaming, there was a bit of a crush on the stairs going down to the streets.
"Some people got pushed over and trampled on, I saw two women being treated by ambulance crews.
"Since then, every emergency vehicle in London has gone past me, fire engines, ambulances, every type of police vehicle."
Mr Aylmer-Hall added: "I don't think anyone was hurt by the actual device or whatever it was."
Natasha Wills, of London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.20am to reports of an incident at Parsons Green underground station.
"We have sent multiple resources to the scene including single responders in cars, ambulance crews, incident response officers and our hazardous area response team, with the first of our medics arriving in under five minutes.
"Our initial priority is to assess the level and nature of injuries. More information will follow when we have it."
The District Line has been partially suspended as an investigation takes place.

British Transport Police said: "We're aware of an incident at Parsons Green station. Officers are at the scene. The station is closed."
Transport for London said it is "investigating an incident at Parsons Green" and urged customers travelling between Wimbledon and Earls Court to use alternative routes.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We are on scene alongside the Metropolitan Police at Parsons Green."
London Fire Brigade said they were called to the incident at 8.21am on Friday.

Being treated as a terrorist incident. The device failed to explode properly, but still 22 injured, some of them seriously.

According to all the experts on BBC radio they predict that an arrest will be made today considering the amount of forensic evidence left behind by an unexploded device, plus all the CCTV footage.

The Parsons Green bomb could have caused huge devastation if the main explosive component had ignited as intended.
Experts said the bomb, which was apparently reliant on a string of fairy lights attached to a battery, appeared to have malfunctioned several stations before it was due to explode.
The crude device, packed into a builder’s white bucket and carried in a Lidl cool bag, exploded on a packed London Underground train shortly before 8.30am. injuring at least 22 people, including a boy believed to be aged about 10.

Police arrest 18-year-old in London subway blast

By Daniel Uria | Sept. 16, 2017 at 8:14 AM

Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A police manhunt led to a "significant" arrest in connection with an explosion in what officials called a terrorist attack on a crowded London subway car.
Kent Police arrested an 18-year-old man in the port area of Dover on Saturday morning under section 41 of the Terrorism Act, the Telegraph reported.
"We have made a significant arrest in our investigation this morning," Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said. "Although we are pleased with the progress made, this investigation continues and the threat level remains at critical."
Government officials raised the terror threat level from "severe" to "critical," after the blast which occurred as a train left Parsons Green station and caused a fire that swept through the subway car on Friday. At least 29 passengers were injured, as several were burned and dozens attempted to escape unharmed.
The suspect was taken into custody at a local police station and will later be transferred under guard to another station in south London.
The Guardian reported detectives will question the man and examine any computers and phones he owns in search of additional information about the attack and any potential accomplices.
"This arrest will lead to more activity from our officers. For strong investigative reasons we will not give any more details on the man we arrested at this stage," Basu said.
Counter-terrorism investigators hope to apprehend the suspects behind the attack before they are able to strike again.
"The public should remain vigilant as our staff, officers and partners continue to work through this complex investigation," Basu said. "We are not, at this time, changing our protective security measures and the steps taken to free up extra armed officers remain in place."

I live in Kent and the police are out in force, I even saw police horses something I've haven't seen before, they seem to mingling with the football supporters of Charlton who are playing at Gillingham football ground.
Be safe by staying away from crowds.
