Thread: Huge fire engulfs west London tower block

Two hundred firefighters and 40 fire engines are battling a large fire on a west London estate.


At least two people have been injured and flats at the 27-storey Grenfell Tower are being evacuated.


Footage on social media showed the building engulfed in fire, with flames stretching over a number of floors.


The fire brigade said the fire was from the 26th floor.

That would be a surprisingly simple & effective way wouldn't it? Set a tower on fire.

Or hire a plane and fly into it.

^ I think a couple cans of gasoline and some matches would be easier.

At successfully burning out a 40 story building?

Well yeah, 3-4 guys at once (like the last attack) with some gas cans in one building, starting at the top, pouring gas & lighting on fire then running down. Rinse & repeat every other floor.

Could probably get a couple buildings in one night to boot.

I know who set this fire.

It was the Tory candidate for Kensington who lost out to the Labour woman after two re-counts. This tower block is in the constituency and by burning out its habitués, all mostly social housing Labour-voting fodder, the Tory Central Office hopes to retrieve its traditional majority in the soon-to-be expected General Election.

Extreme measures, I know, but the Tories were quite miffed about the local coons usurping their pocket borough.

Incidentally, Theresa May, as well as getting rid of 20,000 police officers as Home Secretary, also made redundant 10,000 firefighters over the same period as well as reducing their salaries by £2,000.

Large "ethnic" presence in those west london council blocks, the fire was probably started by a ramadan fast breaking fry up that went wrong.

Not reporting any deaths yet that I've seen but 30 taken to hospital.

Presuming the building will have to be knocked down, wonder if will be social housing or luxury apartments that appear there in a few years.....

That photo in page #15 does not look like a natural spreading fire with all of the sprinkler and water codes these days.....

120 apartments occupied by 400 to 500 folks on fire at 1am. Afraid we're looking at big numbers.
