UK troops in Estonia to deter 'Russian aggression'

The first of 800 UK troops being sent to bolster Nato defences in the Baltic have arrived in Estonia.

The 120 soldiers from the 5th Battalion The Rifles will set up a UK headquarters in the country before the remaining troops arrive in April.

The defence secretary said they would deter "Russian aggression".

More likely they'll get drunk, start fights with the locals and get some Estonian slags pregnant.

Aight im all for shitting all over this but where is the link for the 120 UK troopers?

Ive been drinking and I speed-read the BBC link, but I don't see the UK's token deployment mentioned and I am way too lazy right now to play detective.

Sir Michael insisted it was a "defensive deployment" and was not "designed to provoke or escalate".

the UK government is aware that Russia might use misinformation, fake news and other provocations during their deployment
of course the UK government would never think of using such tactics during their deployment

Actually England wouldn't be a full English breakfast for Putin, it'd be more like a single chicken nugget.

One hopes they fire a salvo. It is alleged only 1 in 5 actually get out of the sea.

50,000,000 for possibly one dead Russian, a couple of 100s for 4 dead and 50 wounded a fact.

People wonder why ISIS will win.

The amerisatni destroyers do "get out" to sea.

Unfortunately not very far before they need a tug to bring them home. The second problem not many ameristani tugs have a radar capable of finding the new "stealthy" amerisatni destroyers.

To ensure Vladimir isn't watching they send a "stealthy" bomber, unfortunately the "stealthy" destroyers radar can't see the "stealthy" bomber.

There are plans, US$32B costings, to enhance the ameristani "stealthy" submarines with a dual "stealthy" radar to enable communications between the destroyer and tug. A 3 year project is near completion and in trials the system works. One small problem is that for the twin "stealthy" radars to work, requires the "stealthy" submarine to surface.

Of course now Vladimir now knows where the "stealthy" destroyer, the "stealthy" bomber and the "stealthy" submarine are.

That is if he can be dragged away from the ameristani hearings, comes in from the sea or back from the watching Citizen Kane at his private cinema.

But no problems Vladimir's wife told him it was his duty to take Russia to a great future.
