Police have evacuated 3,000 people from three train stations in Russia after receiving an anonymous bomb threat.

Officers are using sniffer dogs to check Kazansky, Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky railway stations which are situated around the same square in Moscow.

The evacuation comes with the country in the midst of a day or mourning after a military plane crashed into the Black Sea on Christmas Day killing all 92 on board.

A search is continuing to recover bodies of the crew and passengers who were on board the flight which was on its way to Syria to perform for Russian troops stationed there.

Some 64 members of the Alexandrov Ensemble were reported as being on the flight when it crashed.
