The father of the two children involved in the botched child abduction in Lebanon has spoken out about the incident saying that if the tables were turned, he would be "shot" and called a "terrorist."
Tara Brown, her 60 Minutes crew and Brisbane mother, Sally Faulkner, are currently being held in Lebanese jails after they were accused of attempting to abduct two children from a Beirut street on April 7.
Faulkner, and her estranged husband, Ali Elamine, have failed to come to an agreement over custody of their children and he has recently spoken out about the incident.

The bail hearing has been adjourned until Wednesday so lawyers for the different parties can negotiate, but relations have reportedly broken down to the point that they were communicating through intermediaries.
Channel Nine is hoping to reach a deal to secure the release of presenter Tara Brown, producer Stephen Rice, cameraman Ben Williamson and sound recordist David Ballment.
But throwing money at Mr Elamine’s wealthy family may not be enough, with the father of two likely to demand at least a public apology for the attempted abduction, during which his mother was allegedly hit on the head with a gun.

FATHER Ali Elamine was one step ahead of the would-be abductors at every stage of the operation thanks to a secret network across Beirut.

From the moment Tara Brown, her crew and his estranged wife Sally Faulkner stepped off the plane, it’s believed he knew their movements.
He had been reading his spouse’s emails about the planned abduction on her iPad, and had cut off communication to prevent her from tracking him and the children.
When the desperate Brisbane mother arrived in Lebanon, surf school owner Mr Elamine was ready.
The Lebanese-American was rapidly tipped off about her arrival by associates, according to Fairfax Media. In the two days leading up to the botched abduction, a suspicious car was spotted trailing three-year-old Noah and five-year-old Lahela on their way to school.
When Ms Faulkner’s hired recovery agents grabbed the kids off the street on April 7 in the Hadath district — a Hezbollah stronghold — Mr Elamine was inundated with phone calls from the tight-knit southern Beirut Shiite community.

BS. A white guy turns up for the job with dreads or blue hair tatts and 'cultural accessories' whatever they are, (maybe facial piercings) his liklihood of being refused the job based on his appearance are the same as anyone elses.

A white guy with dreads, blue hair, or tatts isn't adorned with 'cultural accessories' though. Culturally appropriated accessories yes - and he needn't explain why cultural appropriation is a bad thing, also white privilege.

You don't have to agree with it, don't have to do anything about it, but white privilege exists whether you like it or not.
