Housewife faces 6 years in jail after husband takes her to court for not cooking and cleaning

A HOUSEWIFE is facing up to six years in an Italian jail after her husband took her to court for not cooking and cleaning enough.

The 40-year-old woman is being charged with "mistreatment of the family" due to her "poor management of the household chores".

She will stand trial after her 47-year-old husband claimed the negligence had been going on for two years.

Court papers revealed he feels "insulted" by the way she has neglected cleaning the house. He also claims he has been forced to "live in conditions with poor hygiene", according to The Local.

The disgruntled husband revealed he keeps buying food but it often ends up in the bin because she rarely cooks.

He also told how his wife has kicked him out of their shared bedroom in Sonnino in the Lazio region of Italy.

Her trial is set for October 12.

If you are a Catholic it is not easy to get a divorce in Italy. Maybe his wife is suffering from depression and needs professional help.

It's worse. Cost me $50 to get married in Las Vegas and $300,000 to get divorced 6 years later. For that kind of money you could hire someone here to serve your prison sentence for you.
