Thread: 2 Killed by lightening Brecon Beacons

I had to get petrol at 11.45 today and was safely out of the very heavy rain as I was sheltered by the garage roof. We have heavy rain periodically and having lived in Thailand and seen pissing down rain there I was not concerned about it.

Sadly, just eight miles away from me people were caught out in this storm and this was the result.

If you are playing golf or football or even just walking in beautiful scenery get away from the lightning as soon as possible. I have walked hundreds of times with my dogs where these people were killed today and it's all a bit sad.

We've had some of the most spectacular lightning oop north this past week unlike anything previously, mostly of a night time adding to it's visual impact.
