Cheers for that. i should have been clearer, the first in the UK since 1999.

Going to be interesting at 9.30am tomorrow.

I remember watching the last one and this bumble bee fell asleep on the table next to me outside for a couple of minutes at totality.

All the whistling birds where silenced as well, strange nature..

Went a tad chilly for a while..

it was quite a spectacle here in leeds, a thin layer of cloud meant that it could be viewed directly for most of the time, like in ccc's photo above, and the progress of the moon across the sun could be seen quite distinctly.
the minutes preceding maximum coverage of 95% brought an eerie dusk like light down, the atmosphere became quiet and still and then its passed and everything brightens up again.

live tv showed totality about ten minutes later than here from an aircraft above the faroe islands, it was certainly spectacular to watch, even on tv.

bbc has for days been issuing those stern warnings that the bbc do so well, delivered by po faced newsreaders, motherly link women, cheery ethnics and excitable shirtlifters about the terrible dangers of driving during the reduced light (as if we have never driven at dusk before), of the dangers of letting schoolkids outside of the classroom in case they should suffer permanent blindness, and of the dangers of allowing pets to become confused by this disruption to their patterns.
