LONDON—
British police have released three teens on bail after their arrest for trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group.

The families of the boys, two 17-year-olds and one 19-year-old, alerted authorities when the teens failed to return from Friday prayers. Police alerted Turkish authorities, who intercepted the teens and returned them to Britain.

Police arrested the teens on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts. They were bailed late Sunday.

Their arrests come just weeks after an international search began for three teenage girls who left Britain and traveled to Syria to become so-called "jihadi brides."

Scotland Yard believes about 600 Britons have traveled to Syria and Iraq to join Islamic State militants since the start of the conflict.

Does Britain have a huge problem with their young muslims wanting to join ISIS? I thought this was more of a global issue, but it appears Britain has an environment which makes this type of behaviour more prevalent. Why is that? Please explain.

Palestine, Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan, Syria, all having experience of destruction and mass killings. They are Muslim first and then in the distance British.

I still think there are plenty of muslims in other countries as well, no? Is it that in Britain they have more access to social media and their feeling of being hated is more apparent? It seems most muslims have some sort of persecution complex that does not let them allow to feel part of the country they reside in. Even in muslim countries, they still have this persecution complex and want to lash out from time to time.

I guess religion makes it easier to justify all the hate and killing those who believe in something different. Been happening for centurys but again, why does Great Britain get more press?

my first experience was in early 70's when i got invited to a Muslims home for dinner with my wife. After dinner the 43 yr.old man took me to the side away from the ears of his wife and asked me " can you find me a nice 13 yr.old white girl "

You have to look at it in terms of where 'their' Muslims come from - this does determine many things.
Germany has Turks - millions of them. Many millions. No problems, on a larger scale, because they are integrated to a great extent.
The UK has many Pakistanis . . .

Not just my opinion, but also several Malays I know who studied in the UK - an unhealthy mix of retrograde thinking and modernist living.

I don't see how this would be a bad idea. Let them go and if they fight for another government/leadership jail them upon their return or refuse entry

We all agree that we should allow, and even encourage, muslims to leave to go fight each other. This is pretty much what I have said on several occasions dating back to Vietnam. If they all want to fight, then let them be preoccupied with fighting each other.

The only down side you keep hearing is that they may come back after being battle trained to cause havoc. I think this is a smoke screen by various governments and should be tested.

The more time muslims spend fighting each other is less time they have to cause grief in our homelands. So how do we get our governments to agree to this great plan?

Ship the violent schoolchildren over as well. In fact, send all the US criminals encarcerated in our jails over to Iraq armed with an AK47 and see how long they last.
