Ukraine conflict: UK to help train Ukraine army - Cameron

British military personnel are to be sent to Ukraine in the next few weeks to provide advice and training, says Prime Minister David Cameron.

As he spoke, pro-Russian rebels said they were pulling back heavy weapons from the front line in eastern Ukraine as part of a ceasefire.

However, the government in Kiev has disputed the rebel claims.

Mr Cameron said he would push for more sanctions on Russia if the separatists failed to observe the truce.

Foreign ministers from Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France met in Paris on Tuesday in an attempt to bolster confidence in the ceasefire agreed in Minsk on 12 February but made little progress.

Ukraine fears that the separatists are planning to use the relative lull in fighting to switch their attention to the southern port city of Mariupol.

The United States has already said it is planning to send troops to train three Ukrainian battalions.

Mr Cameron told a House of Commons committee that up to 75 British soldiers divided into four teams would go to an area well away from the conflict zone, to provide medical, logistics, intelligence and infantry skills.

Can we have it in the Conservative party manifesto that they will impose more sanctions on Russia and arm Ukraine so that those of us who disagree with this policy can actually have a chance to vote against it, after all our elected politicians are supposed to represent us.

What was it last time ?
British teaching the Taliban / Mujahideen or whatever name they used then, how to use Stinger surface-to-air missiles to shoot down Russian helicopters in Afghanistan in the 1980s....
If we cannot pick the right side to be on, then perhaps it's time we kept our big noses out .

Lets look at recent history, taking out Saddam has left Iraq a clusterfuk of a country, taking out Gadaffi has left Libya lawless without a functioning government and basically civil war, trying but failing to take out Assad has fuked Syria up, destroyed the country to ruins made killed and millions homeless to justify what means who the fuk knows. Getting rid of the democratically elected president in Ukraine because he was pro Russian and not pro EU/US and foolishly trying to flex your muscles on Russia's doorstep and expecting Russia just to sit idly by and suck US cock has led to what?? Russia annexing the Crimea and probably most of the East Ukraine when this all ends. Just got to love US/UK/EU foreign policy, bunch of dumb fukwits and who is it who gives them the manifesto to do it???

This is sad. The axis powers really are going to start a war with Russia.

Is it too late for the UK population to revolt ?

I seem to recall that after the splash mainstream media outrage about this they quietly released a statement afterwards saying that it was not Russian planes at all, and some old dorris who reported it got it wrong.

    Anyway Cameron is a moron.
