The jihadist who faked his own death

British jihadist Imran Khawaja jailed for 12 years

A British jihadist who travelled to Syria then faked his own death to try to return to the UK undetected has been given a 12-year custodial sentence.

Imran Khawaja, 27, from west London, joined a militant group with links to so-called Islamic State while overseas.

He was pictured posing with severed heads during his six months in Syria.

He was arrested in Dover last June and later admitted preparing for acts of terrorism, attending a camp, receiving training and possessing firearms.

Commander Richard Walton: Khawaja "was a very serious threat to this country"

Judge Mr Justice Baker said Khawaja posed "a significant risk of serious harm" to the public. He will serve a minimum of eight years and also serve five years on licence.

At Woolwich Crown Court, Khawaja's counsel Henry Blaxland QC told the court his client had a very low IQ and had been "indoctrinated" in the months before he fled for Syria, in January 2014.

But Mr Justice Baker described Khawaja, who joined the Rayat al-Tawheed (RAT) insurgent group, as a "willing and enthusiastic" participant in recruitment films.

And he dismissed Khawaja's claim that he came home to see his family and regretted his actions.

I like his last name, "Khawaja". Similar in meaning or usage to "farang".

They should use a defibrillator on him every 15 mins in prison just to make sure he's not really dead.

Surely , after twelve years mixed with others espousing and preaching hate to him each week you'll have a real 40-year-old nutter coming back out onto the streets of West London.

    My question:
Per his counsel's remarks in Woolrich Crown Court , exactly which Iman and /or exactly whom was indoctrinating him prior to his mission with 'RAT' with links to IS in Syria ?

Round up the ring-leaders and execute them.

Start with the clerics, imam's, mullahs and other Islamic supremacist cheerleaders and fatwa inventors.

Would you stone them to death, would you throw them from a tall building or would you put them in a cage and set them on fire?

    Let me see....

Nah, don't need to go down the Muslim horror path, that's an Islamic brand name tactic.

Charge them with inciting murder, put them in a cage at Nuremberg, give them a fair trial, then if evidence is sufficient for a prosecution, give them the maximum penalty possible, life < death sentence.

The only problem there is that western countries have largely abandoned the death sentence for aiding and abetting murder.

The alternative, of course, is sending out hit squads tp pick them out individually, far more cost effective, and a tactically more efficient method of dealing to the murder missionaries of Islam.

So we capture an enemy soldier who makes out he is dead, sounds like a deserter.
Then he is tried in a civilian court and sentenced to 12 years in a five star hotel.
    Great justice system we have.

The really sad thing about this story is that it shows that ISIS lies about people being killed in order to achieve its aims.

In the case of this jihadist, it was so that he could return to the UK undetected to fund-raise for them. One would expect no less than a bunch of radical murdering scum, but what do the media do the very next time ISIS try another propaganda attempt by saying someone has been killed - this time to make Jordan feel guilty for its reprisal bombing run? Publish it all over the headlines, on the very day the jihadist was jailed.

There are such places, often within a couple of miles offshore of most countries that developed quarantine regs a century or so ago,.....leper colonies, scrapy islands, and such.
