Stansted Airport terrorism arrest: Suspect, 18, held

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences at Stansted Airport.

The 18-year-old was taken into custody by Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism officers when she arrived on a flight.

She was arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts and membership of a proscribed organisation, police said.

A 21-year-old man was previously arrested in Hackney on 29 October in relation to the same investigation.

Officers said he was arrested on suspicion of assisting another to commit acts of terrorism, or to engage in any conduct for the committing of such acts, by facilitating another to travel abroad.

He has been bailed until a later date in January.

Bail with strict conditions. This girl isn't going anywhere and will be watched in case she cavorts with others. Every phone call she makes will be intercepted. Every visitor to her parents' home where she is confined will be recorded.

you are not averse to frothing yourself as evidenced by many of your diatribes.

these are difficult times, and the nefarious activities of the mohammedan must be curtailed.

    by whatever means necessary.

    Difficult times???

Lolling about in some back water hick town by the sea on your charpoy of feckless indolence, seething at the effrontery of Johnny Muslim reacting to decades of oppression and exploitation, and spitting ill considered, spurious invective on an insignificant outpost of Cyberia, scarcely constitutes "difficult times".

Indeed, during my peregrinations in deepest Devon, I was not troubled for one moment by this onslaught of Islamic retribution apparently engulfing the Western world and which so exercises you to the point of enraged apoplexy.

I rather think for most folk this preoccupation with the vandal hordes of Johnny Muslim mostly exists within the column inches of garbage spouted by media feeding a neurotic public, of which you appear to be one.

Life has never been so agreeable for millions in the West whose existence is feather-bedded, cosseted and coddled by a society enjoying an indulgence never before experienced in its development.

In six months time over 10 million folk will depart Britain for their sybaritic pleasures by some foreign shore or rural idyll and I wager you that 100% of them couldn't give a flying toss about Johnny Muslim, Islam or the price of fish ( well, unless it is to be barbecued and served with a rather nice Montrachet ).

So, some 18 year old bird has just returned from a holiday in Syria. Perhaps she even visited a brother doing some volunteer charity work. Or perhaps she is a war widow! Time will tell.

    mr verbosity rides again.

the man who explodes into artery rupturing apoplectic rage when a national of one of the worlds more insignificant little outposts disobeys a traffic light or trousers a bribe has the gall to criticise those moved to comment on some of the worlds more pressing problems.

I believe any such troubles are just getting started - the new phases of the underground wars are clearly underway....

All apart of bad kharma coming back to bite.
Most unfortunate, the Western lights of goodness are completely blinded to the cause and effect.

I wonder if they will name, and then follow the investigation and prosecution of this person in the media? Hmmm ,probably not, because they are never guilty of anything, and it always drifts away. No matter! Terror Alert headlines abound to keep the drones flying, the wars raging, the laws tightening, and the plebs quietly afraid and full of hate.
