I've said it before and I,ll say it again. What kind of fucked up religion makes it's devotees wake up at sparrows fart by blaring all that shite from loud speakers pointed every which way, (note to self). Check for mosques in the vicinity if wanting to get on the piss and have a sleep in next time I go to indo

    Mosques in Japan ...

List of mosques in Japan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Masjids (Mosques) in Japan

Japan Photo | Kobe Muslim Mosque 神戸ムスリムモスク Islam in Japan

In Japan, there are about 60 Masjids (as of December 2010), most of which are built in last 20 years. The 1st Masjid in Japan was built in 1935 in Kobe (port city near Osaka), & 2nd in 1938 in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan. After the gap of about 30 years, some Masjids were built in 1960s. Masjid building rush was started after 1990, when foreign Muslims (most of whom came to Japan in 80s) became economically established & settled their roots in the Japan's soil. Many of these foreign Muslims have married to Japanese converted Muslims.

Could the Oz cops be accused of "cruel and unusual punishment" of a suspect by not letting this jihadist sleep tonight?

Russia's banned publication of many Islamic books including one edition of the Koran.

Mosques are banned in Crimea, now, and Islam in general isn't allowed to flourish in Russia,....along with lots of other things like freedom of expression,....but, at least them Ruskis aren't being biased.

Turns out that the hostage taker is an Iranian Man Haron Monis (sp?) on bail for violent offences, has a history of making threats against the west.

Could well be a lone wolf nutter scenario.

The TV says that the police have released his name, no online link yet.

Some Iran cleric, on bail for accessory to murder of his wife and a string of child sex offences, if i heard that right.

    Man Horan Monis.

LIVE: Police have authorised the naming of Sheik Man Haron Monis, who is a self-styled preacher of Islamic State on bail for accessory to murder, as the gunman who is holding 15 terrified hostages in Sydney’s Lindt cafe.
Hundreds of heavily-armed police continue to hold an intense security cordon around the Lindt Cafe in Martin Place and central Sydney remains in lockdown as negotiators try to secure the safe release of hostages caught in a siege.
Five hostages emerged from the central Sydney cafe yetserday.
They are being held by Monis who has forced them to display an Islamic flag, which has sparked fears of a terrorist attack.
Plainclothes detectives have arrived at the scene to support fellow officers at Martin Place.

I'd like to know if he has taken a break from his hostage taking in order to pray. Serious question. One would think a devout Muslim would stop to pray. One might also suspect that there's more than one hostage taker there - so they can take it in turns to pray. Of course, the flag he's showing might just be a decoy or red herring in order to get more attention for his cause, whatever that turns out to be. It might be nothing to do with religion. Just a thought.

A SELF-styled Muslim cleric accused of sending offensive letters to the families of slain Australian soldiers has lost a High Court bid to have the charges against him quashed.

Man Haron Monis, also known as Sheik Haron, was charged in 2011 with 12 counts of using a postal service in a way that a reasonable person would consider menacing, harassing or offensive.

He allegedly sent letters - and in one case a recorded message - to the relatives of several diggers killed in action in Afghanistan and the mother of an Austrade official killed in the bombing of a hotel in Indonesia. His co-accused, Amirah Droudis faces eight counts of aiding an abetting Mr Monis.

A SELF-styled sheikh who sent offensive letters to the families of dead Australian soldiers has faced court in connection to the murder of a woman.

Man Haron Monis, 49, fronted Burwood Local Court charged with being an accessory before and after the fact to the murder of a woman allegedly stabbed and set alight in a western Sydney stairwell earlier this year.

Mr Monis, also known as Sheikh Haron, was arrested along with a woman who earlier today was charged with murder.

Dressed in black tracksuit pants and with a beard, Mr Monis didn't apply for bail and it was formally refused by Magistrate Christopher Longley.

Emergency workers found the woman's body in the Werrington apartment block on April 21 after responding to a fire.

The 30-year-old had allegedly been stabbed multiple times and set alight.

Police say the three people knew each other.

Amirah Droudis, who is believed to be the partner of Mr Monis, was charged with murdering Noleen Hayson Pal.

He seems to be well known to police. Video footage of him talking to cameras outside his previous trial is showing on ABC. 40 sex charges and accessory to murder of his wife..

Hopefully he can be talked round (and then shot).

Looking at this nutters history I fear this is going to end badly. Doubt he is a lone wolf. Must be others involved.
