"Sons of Guns" has been canceled in the wake of cast member Will Hayden being charged with molesting his now 12-year-old daughter.
“Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of ‘Sons of Guns’ and cancel the series,” a Discovery Channel rep told TMZ Wednesday.
Police reportedly arrested the Discovery Channel reality star Tuesday, after an investigation apparently led them to add a charge of aggravated rape of a child, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The Louisiana gunsmith was accused of molesting one of his daughters by a ‘bitter’ ex-girlfriend, he told TMZ.
The girl told police she was "orally and vaginally raped" by her father "almost daily," but kept quiet because he threatened her physically.
He supposedly told her not to "tell them nothing, because I'm all you got," TMZ reports.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies initially arrested Hayden on Aug. 9, on accusations of child molestation and a "crime against nature." The gunsmith was later released after posting $150,000 bond.
At the time, Hayden claimed the serious accusations came from a scorned ex-girlfriend, supposedly the girl's mother, who went to police "in retaliation" after he ended their relationship — he told TMZ.
