Worlds Biggest Scumbag Insurance Company, Adriana Insurance

Adriana’s Insurance pays out $22,588 settlement.......... in coins

TALK about adding insult to injury!
An insurance company in California paid a senior citizen $22,588 in loose change after he won a settlement against them, NBC reports.
Adriana’s Insurance Service Inc. delivered the buckets of coins to Andres Carrasco, 73, after he filed a lawsuit claiming a worker at the firm assaulted him in 2012, according to the station.
“I am disappointed by the way Adriana’s treats their customers and the elderly. We might be poor, but we are people too,” Carrasco blasted.
He added, “Why don’t you like your clients?”
Carrasco recently suffered a hernia and wasn’t strong enough to lift the heavy buckets, his lawyer Antonio Gallo claimed.
Eight of Adriana’s Insurance employees delivered the 18.9 litre containers, which were full of 10 cent, 5 cent and 1 cent pieces, NBC reported.

I imagine that the California state insurance regulators would be indifferent to the plaintiff's alarm, as govt and insurance are in bed together.

Nothing whatsoever to do right or wrong.

    Yes, legal tender.

Not sure now but probably same same now as in the old days, with LSD it was the same as the amount on bank coin bags, copper 5/-, 3d £1, silver £5.

I agree he should sue them again for hurt feelings and or injury, and see if they dare deliver his $10m award in coins.

Apparently not. They used to be sensible but repealed normality in 1933
