Amanda Knox gets away with murder

Knox was acquitted “for not committing the act,” judge Claudio Pratillo Hellmann said, reading out the ruling after 11 hours of jury deliberations.
Knox’s former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who was appealing the same convictions for the gruesome 2007 killing, was also acquitted and drove away from Terni prison with his father, headed for his home town in southern Italy.

Appeal verdicts that overturn the original case are relatively rare in Italy, but Knox’s defence had the upper hand for much of the appeal, particularly after independent experts cast serious doubt on some crucial DNA evidence.

There you have it. Another example of how pathetic and useless western justice systems are.

Yes. How pathetic that the police, laywers and the rest could not prove that she murdered another.
Injustice if I have ever seen it. Keep her and her Italian boyfriend locked up until someone can prove they actually did murder someone. Lock 'em up for life I say.
Guilty until proven innocent is the way to go. Those Western knobs doing it the other way round is useless!

I was wondering if anyone could be arsed to bother commenting on this non-story.

Whether she is an OK or not, you are right to say they acted like the keystone kops though. You can't really expect anything else from the wops, they're all big mouths and small pants.

MailOnline makes up events, quotes from Perugia
As Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox were hearing that their appeal against their convictions for the murder of Meredith Kercher had been successful, this article by Nick Pisa appeared on MailOnline:

It is unsurprising, perhaps, that a media outlet would prepare two versions of a story where the result was expected but unknown. Unfortunately for the Mail's website, they posted the wrong one. A cock up then.

But half way through the article, there's this:

I think the entire case was a witch hunt by the Italian police and British media. Crap like it was a satanic murder, and Knox being some evil seductress.....

Well she did go out with her boyfriend buying slutty underwear the day after the murder.

You'd think if Kercher was a "friend" she might not have been in the mood....

Investigators have found blood on one set of Sollecito's underwear, which his lawyers claim came from Knox's menstruation.
So looks like she was into stirring the paint as well.

Well Well, it would seem the Italian prosecutors are appealing the verdict to the Supreme court.

And Foxy has to be back in Perugia in November for the slander trial (do they have settling out of court in Italy, because she'll have a wad of cash once she's finished the salacious interview circuit and the book/TV movie deal?).

My "expert witness" costs more than your "expert witness".

There is also a black guy who has been banged up for a 16 year stretch, no news on his acquitall.

"Ivorian drug dealer Rudy Guede is serving a 16-year sentence for his role in the murder. But investigators believe more than one person held Kercher down while she was stabbed and had her throat cut."

Maybe they should "ask" him nicely or do the US style "plea bargin".

It was a few years ago this murder
the way i remember it ,at first she said she was in another room covering her ears as she heard screaming , or something like that .
she denied saying that later i think .

And at some point for some reason she implicated an African immigrant bar owner
for which she was given 3 years - that was not overturned yesterday ,

If you act dumb and lie , don't expect to be believed when it counts .

Yeah - I too thought there was a lot more to this that was reported earlier that doesn't seem to be mentioned any more.

Their actions within hours of their 'friend's' murder was very weird. I still think there's a good chance one or both were involved. We'll likely never know.

I'd venture that the pair aquitted today were both unknowingly accessories to the murder..maybe succumbed to some voodoo black magic shite courtesy of the Ivory Coast chap who's banged up for it.

Both of them were clearly involved just shows Italy as the 3rd world country that it is along with those fokwit Portuguese should have called in the Brit police in the collect and bag up the DNA evidence.

Is the 'sex game gone wrong' thing ever actually explained? She died how? Many stab wounds? A cut throat? How do they define 'sexual assaulted and murdered'? (by that I mean are they saying she was murdered - obvious - and simply found signs of sexual activity? or bruising and other issue related to rape?)

The circumstantial evidence against Knox and her summer wap boyfriend seemd (as I recall) pretty compelling at the time. And circumstantial evidence counts for a lot in my books because there are few cases when it can be proved 100% (yet still beyond any shadow) that the person is guilty. That's why it takes 'argument' and logic to prove guilt. It truly is hard to ignore the American media "CNN" effect on this - and their claims that "she could soon be going home". (Why not say she could soon be counting her grey fucking hairs in a prison cell..?)

If someone can find a critical analysis of this whole thing that would be a good link to read.

Apparently under the Italian system you can appeal a specific piece of evidence/testimony and if that is proven to be suspect the appeal will be upheld.

So all the bits about her strange behaviour , constantly changing stories and other stuff was excluded.

Jesus, the sick fucking Hollywood ambulance chasers....

Hayden Panettiere`s Amanda Knox movie to include updated verdict

By Vicky Allison Oct 4, 2011, 14:36 GMT
US Weekly Hot Hollywood, Eden, Hollywood, California. - Russ Einhorn / Splash News

The Lifetime film based on the true story of Amanda Knox, who was acquitted for the murder of Meredith Kercher yesterday in Italy, will now include an update based on the trial's final verdict.
The 22-year-old Heroes star plays the title role in TV movie Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, which is based around the killing of Amanda's roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy back in 2007.
Knox, 24, was found guilty of the killing Meredith and sentenced to 26 years in prison in 2009, but she took the case to appeal and her conviction was quashed yesterday.
A spokesman from Lifetime has said the updated film will include Amanda's final court ruling of not guilty in a scheduled US broadcast today, according to the Los Angeles Times.
