The State of the Union address is a disgraceful embarrassment.

It's based on a 200 year old tradition and not relevant anymore in our age of technology.

Nothing is actually said: speech writers write, and re-write.

Abstract noun, after abstract noun.

It's so archaic, it should be shelved.

No it is not, it is part of the POTUS job as per the Constitution:

He shall from time to time give to Congress information of the State of the Union and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient. - Article II, Section 3

Fun trivia: All Prezes from Jefferson to Wilson just sent in a written message to Congress, Carter did that once too.

I just read that BO wants to fast track the Trans-Pacific Partnership which is another contradiction about this "inequality."

TPP (apparently) is just a footnote to the other deals that have been made over the decades.

But it reinforces that Obama is just another shill.
