ODD NEWS: Thief carries 250-pound safe out of Massachusetts eatery

    Where's Davis ?

WEYMOUTH, Massachusetts — Massachusetts police are searching for a strong-armed thief who carried a 250-pound (113kg) safe out of a restaurant.

Kevin Hynes says a man walked out of his Stockholders Restaurant in Weymouth on Sunday night lugging the vault.

Surveillance tape shows the man entering a side door at the rear of the restaurant, heading down the stairs and coming back up carrying a large object wrapped in a trash bag.

    No arrests have been made.

Hynes isn’t saying how much money was in the safe, but he’s offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the man’s arrest.

He says he’s since bought an even heavier safe and bolted it to the concrete floor.

Thai women smuggled in a suit case

EXCESS BAGGAGE: The woman hiding in a suitcase discovered by US Customs and Border Protection on the Mexico border.
    Travel Troubles

A Thai woman has been caught trying to sneak into the United States from Mexico while curled up inside a suitcase in a sport-utility vehicle at a border crossing in Nogales, Arizona, a US border protection official.

"Rarely do we see something like this. You can imagine the (border) officers' surprise when they came upon this woman crammed inside a suitcase, but there she was," said Edith Serrano, a spokeswoman for US Customs and Border Protection.

The woman was discovered on the morning of December 30, 2013 in a Honda SUV driven by a 56-year-old Phoenix man, but US Customs and Border Protection first announced the stop on Monday.

The Thai woman, who was in a soft-sided suitcase under a pile of clothes, was turned over to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Serrano, as was the driver of the SUV,

    Git, found her.

Customs and Border Protection agents discovered 48-year-old Pornkamol Mongkolsermsak while inspecting a Honda SUV entering the United States on Dec. 30 in Nogales, Ariz.

Mind you, if I was gonna smuggle a thai bird, I would find one younger than 48!
