People such as harry, piwi, fluke and socal have very low analytical capabilities, they believe any old shit that is passed on to them from the government thru the MSM. Basically they cannot think for themselves, they also have a major problem producing any evidence for their arguments. These type of people tend to infest the Internet with their utter BS day in day out. Anyone who believes what proven liars say like the US, Israeli,UK and some western governments needs their fucking head tested because they have got serious mental issues.

When you look at the recent history of Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria, an intelligent person should come to the conclusion that getting mired down into the civic strife of those countries is a "no win" situation.

It is as fruitless as getting involved in the tribal affairs that go on in Sub-sahara African countries such as Zimbabwe, the Congo, and Kenya.

IMO the US should just stay the hell out of the internal affairs of those countries and let them slug it out. Why waste the hard-earned money of US taxpayers in order to replace one corrupt government with another corrupt government.

Selective use of drones should be used whenever a real and direct threat to the US becomes apparent.

Well, it looks like that Nobel Peace Prize winner - Barack Hussien Obama is going to war in Syria over those pesky WMD's Assad is supposed to have used recently.

Where do you suppose he got them? Here’s a strong possibility:
As intelligence prior to the invasion of Iraq indicated that Saddam’s Iraq had sarin gas and amidst large speculation that such weapons were moved to Syria, the use of sarin gas in Syria might prove to vindicate the Bush Administration’s assertions that WMDs were, in fact, in Iraq.

In January, 2006, former Iraqi general, Georges Sada publicly declared that Saddam’s military transferred large stockpiles of chemical weapons to Syria using civilian aircraft with the passenger seats removed. “There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,’ Mr. Sada said. ‘I am confident they were taken over.’”

Sada, Hussein’s number 2 in the Iraqi Air Force, claims that 56 trips by two Iraqi Airways Boeings were used to smuggle the weapons into Syria under the guise of civilian flights. “Saddam realized, this time, the Americans are coming,” Sada said. “They handed over the weapons of mass destruction to the Syrians.”

In March, retired Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney spoke publicly about the likelihood of WMDs in Syria and the high probability that the weapons were moved to Syria immediately prior to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
For years we were told these weapons never existed. Now we are told we have to attack another country because of them.

    Back to you...

Yeah, that is because they never did exist. The UN teams were in that country for years and found fuck all,all the evidence says that any weapons programs were shut down in the early 1990's. You are delusional as usual, I mean you are using links to the fucking teaparty, a well known bunch of nutters and that Iraqi General you are quoting is just trying to sell his book to dummies like you and your last link is to a faux news regular nut who claimed that Saddams weapons were sent to Russia but now claims they were sent to Syria...what a joke..

Experts have expressed several reservations about what exactly the video footage shows and which weapons could have been used.
"At the moment, I am not totally convinced because the people that are helping them are without any protective clothing and without any respirators," said Paula Vanninen, director of Verifin, the Finnish Institute for Verification of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
"In a real case, they would also be contaminated and would also be having symptoms."
Dr Zanders had doubts about claims that a nerve agent was used.
"I have not seen anybody applying nerve agent antidotes," he wrote in a blog post. "Nor do medical staff and other people appear to suffer from secondary exposure while carrying or treating victims."
Meanwhile Prof Kekule said the symptoms did not fit with typical chemical weapons use as the victims did not appear to be suffering pain or irritation to their eyes, nose and mouth.
"Some or perhaps all patients are briefly decontaminated with water or water and detergent in the video. The water is spilled over the chest, but (at least in the video) not over the face and eyes."

John Kerry Makes the Case Perfectly for Going to War in Iraq in 2002

Then: NO WAR! NO BLOOD FOR OIL! FIGHTING FOR PEACE IS LIKE F**ING FOR VIRGINITY!

Now: It's all rather complicated! There are issues of international credibility to consider!

"What we saw in Syria last week should shock the conscience of the world," said Kerry. "It defies any code of morality. Let me be clear: The indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, the killing of women and children and innocent bystanders by chemical weapons is a moral obscenity. By any standard, it is inexcusable. And despite the excuses and equivocations that some have manufactured, it is undeniable."

    Indeed...

    Fun Fact of the Day:

Support for U.S. intervention in Syria even less popular than Congress.

"A new Reuters/Ipsos poll has finally found something that Americans like even less than Congress: the possibility of U.S. military intervention in Syria. Only nine percent of respondents said that the Obama administration should intervene militarily in Syria; a RealClearPolitics poll average finds Congress has a 15 percent approval rating, making the country’s most hated political body almost twice as popular."

    Which is a damning statement.

In 2002, the left contended the US could not go to war in Iraq despite having Congressional approval for it; they claimed that France's veto had more weight than Congress' approval.

Now they make the same argument: It doesn't matter that Congress won't be approving this war. France approves it. Apparently France is some kind of Constitutional Alternative to Congressional Authority to the left.

The Left Wing Media is an evil beast.

I imagine, in the manufactured noise, two things will be quietly swept under the table.

First, the current Israel/ Palestine peace talks. Second, apart from everything else, why are we using poisonous gas attacks as an excuse to bomb the victims rather than the perpetrators? not much left of the west, is there. No dirty tricks beneath us now- I quite expect to see UN personnel being targeted too, if they insist on speaking the truth.

    Hopefully, saner heads will prevail.

The Peace Talks aren't going anywhere so that's a moot point.

Good point though re why are we gonna bomb more victims - Obama's got himself boxed in on this one with no way out.

It doesn't matter that Congress won't be approving this war.
read that Seymour Hersh article I linked to, to see how much Congress is left out of the loop. Your nation has been hijacked, there has been a quiet coup d'etat . This happened well before Obama was first elected.

It's difficult to decide what's the truth and what isn't at the moment but this is what strikes me:

    1. It seems probable that there was a chemical weapon attack but there's no conclusive proof at the moment.

    2. If there was an attack and Assad bombed the area later to destroy any evidence, there are two possible explanations. He either ordered the bombing or someone else did but he expects to get the blame anyway so why not clear the area?

    3. Some time ago, The US Administration claimed that chemical weapons had been sent to Syria by Saddam Hussein to hide them. Could they be chemical weapons originally supplied to Saddam by the US when he was their buddy?

    4. Could it be possible that a clandestine agency of some foreign government made the chemical weapon attack? It's not beyond the realms of possibility and Obama drew his 'red' line' at chemical weapons. The US arms industry needs a new war as American involvement in Afghanistan comes to an end.

    5. When Western governments and military get involved in another country's problems, it leads to more tears.

    6. Why is the West determined to support a mixed collection of rebel groups that includes Islamic extremists rather than a legitimate existing government? Assad may be brutal but is the alternative any better?

My view at the moment is that Western governments should stay out of this. The enormous loss of civilian life is desperately sad but attacks from ships in the Mediterranean would increase the losses. The civil war, if that's what it is, is between rival Muslim groups with none better then the others.

^^ I know that unsubstantiated speculation doesn't add anything to the debate, but the likelihood is that the rebels used sarin gas out of pique, because the Syrian forces were threatening their last remaining toeholds in and around Damascus. That they would then blame the enemy, and this would be amplified by a friendly western media, is to be expected- it is exactly what happened last time too. We really are in bed with evil fanatics here, they don't exactly read the Geneva Convention.

According the the leftist media it was Assad's boys who used the WMD's, not the rebels.

The trouble with these teenage "rebels" like Primo is they only read the media they believe, and they only believe the media they read. Then they think they're being clever because they always have to take the opposing view to everything, when it fact it makes them even more malleable than Fox News viewers.

    Pity the mindless fools.

The truth always has more shades and nuances than you'll pick up reading one extreme or the other.

The Inspectors have samples, so at the very least they should be able to define what weapons were used, if any.

One earlier chemical weapons attack initially reported by the Syrian opposition turned out to be from a paint factory that the regime had bombed.

    Nice false flag.

Send in Mossad to chem-blast a bunch of civis under shady and vague circumstances but make sure you get plenty of horror footage.

    Classic strategy...

Create a problem, lay blame, provide the solution.

If Asaad had a chem weapon stock-pile shipped over from Iraq (as they will no doubt claim, being right all along about Iraq WMD), why would he use them now?

It doesn't make any sense and this guy is no dummy. He's a trained fighter pilot and war chief and doesn't take shit from seppos and their plants. If he had an arsenal such as this, with war banging on the door, why would he expose his hand in this little skirmish?

Who gains to stand the most from these tragic killings? The seppos are certainly taking the high ground.

Well played jews / seppos I spose.
