OZ Baseball Player Shot While Jogging

Three teenagers shot and killed an Australian baseball player while he was jogging because they were 'bored'. Unbelievable! There's now a call for Australians to boycott the US and I say 'got that right'! The US culture is totally OTT!

Allen West @AllenWest "We were bored & decided to kill somebody." 3 black teens shoot white jogger.Who will POTUS identify w/this time? http://bit.ly/14SHmcq

The New York Post reports that three suspects — Chancey Luna, 16, James Edwards, 15, and Michael Jones, 17 — told police, “We were bored and decided to kill somebody.” Christopher Lane, 23, a native of Australia studying in Oklahoma, was shot in the back and died an hour later. “They saw Christopher jog by the house they were at, they chose him to be the target, they got in the car, drove up behind him and shot him in the back,” Duncan, Okla., police chief Danny Ford said.

    RIP Chris Lane.

Speculation on whether Al Sharpton/ Barry Obama will have any comment.

That's it, I'm sending croc dundee and chopper over there.

Yeh, sad. There was an aussie guy shot dead in detroit a year or more back- he tarted up some dumps, made them nice and rented them out. Popular guy, good landlord, asset to the community according to all accounts. Wasted by some crack ho's father. His 'crime'- she wouldn't pay the very modest rent, ever, so he wanted her out.

I've never heard of one of these random, drive by shootings in Australia- although of course there was the Port Arthur massacre, carried out by a nutcase.

We notice that the US Lamestream Media doesn't seem to be showing pictures or mentioning the race of these three killers:

Three teens accused of murder of baseball player Chris Lane identified.
The Oklahoma teens who face first-degree murder charges have been named as Chancey Luna, James Edwards and Michael Jones.
But their parents yesterday protested their innocence.
Jennifer Luna, whose son is suspected of firing the fatal shot, claimed her son was at home saying: “My son is not that way. My son is a good kid.”

Earlier today, former deputy prime minister Tim Fischer has urged Australian tourists to boycott the US in the wake of the shooting murder of the Melbourne baseball star.

Mr Fischer said he was deeply angered by the latest tragedy and said turning our backs on America would help send a stern message about the need for tighter gun control.
Christopher Lane, 22, was randomly gunned down while jogging through the town of Duncan in Oklahoma on Friday afternoon local time.
Police: Teens killed Australian East Central University baseball player Christopher Lane for fun. “We were bored and didn’t have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.

No word yet from Obama on which one would look the most like his son if he had one.

    Update:

News.com.au now has mug shots of the killers. Michael Jones appears to be a totally different person than in the picture above, which was originally posted on several news sites. The new Michael Jones looks white. He was charged as an accessory for driving the car, whereas the other two are up for first-degree murder. Luna pulled the trigger.

The three teens were reportedly "bored" and "decided to kill somebody," according to a statement from the 17-year-old. Below is a Vine discovered of James Edwards, 15, flaunting a large rifle with a scope.

    Don't blame the NRA.

Blame a culture that gets off on Purple Drank and so-called 'boredom'.

Reports now saying Murderer #3 is White:

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/08/20...ma-for-fun-it/

On one of the alleged killer's Facebook pages, investigators found the message: "Bang. Two drops in two hours," Sky News reports. "I think they were on a killing spree. We would have had more bodies that night if we didn't get them,” Ford said in an interview with the Australian Associated Press

White/hispanic kills a black youngster in self defense, he's a racist shit.

Three black punks kill a white youngster and we blame the NRA or weed.

The mentality that even considers "let's go kill some folks for fun" has fuck all to do with the NRA. the premise is weak and lazy thinking. Blaming weed as a culprit is just as weak and lazy.

Look at all the shit in movies and television glorifying the gangsta style, every body here tries to dress, talk and act "gangsta." It's not drugs, it's not guns. IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING EASY.

^Its "Retarded." No education, no parents that act like parents, no clear direction, associates who all have the same outlook, no future, no jobs, nothing seriously wrong with killing someone, its just life 101 in this generations view point.

Boon Mee you don't really expect "O" to actually have any comment do you? His handlers will stay far away from this one. He's into the 72 Miami Dolphins now. (Three refused the offer) Yesterdays hero's. Today's hero is A-Rod. Don't need anything further do we?

It would be nice to see a responsible reporter ask Obama what his thoughts are on this killing.

    Got that right.

The blame lays squarely on a culture that spawned these maggots. Their parents and lack of direction/goals that allow them to become 'bored'.

I'm just fucking sickened by this- I saw the father of the guy that was murdered on the news, and he was just shattered, as was the rest of his family- this goes beyond 'senseless'.

I want to say 'execute them' but they're just kids...

What will happen with their lives now? If they're spared death row (which they probably will be) they're going to grow up in jail, to one day be released upon society- they deserve to rot (kids or not, they were old enough to know better), but I bet they have more harm yet to inflict on the world.

I just keep thinking about the Aussie guy's family...
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Beyond disgust, there is little to say other that these scum are all three being tried as adults, and two of them are going down for first degree murder, which should keep their asses locked up forever. Hopefully, they will get life without parole, and the wigger who drove and supplied the gun will get at least 25-life. RIP - poor guy - I really feel for his family. I am starting to think hard about sending my twins to the US for college in a few years.

^Every time, and it is far too many times, one of these stories pops up my wife (who is Thai) says she is leaning toward forgetting about ever living in the States. Granted, there is some random murderous violence here in Thailand- road rage, etc.- but the US is simply out of order.

Maybe the people who suggest that the first-person shooter games are desensitizing kids have a point. This isn't the sort of killing that can be blamed on the NRA or gun culture per se- you'll never ban hunting weapons in a place like Oklahoma, and frankly it shouldn't be necessary. Like some others have pointed out, as a dad myself trying to imagine the pain the parents are going through. . .let's just say I am typing slower than usual.

I dunno, it's hard to put perspective on these things. I dislike the gun culture in the states, dislike the NRA type deny all attitood, but the states I know is not that kind of place, the amerkins I know probably more disgusted by this than aussies. I like to think it would be the same in reverse, if a welcome visitor to our country were to die like that. This is not the time or place to beat the country down, and I hope people don't resort to it. One things for sure- the victim would not have approved, he had made america his home.

Per capita (per 100,000) gun homicides - US, 3.6; Aus, 0.13.
Should be warning for Aussies traveling to US. "Odds of being murdered in US 26% greater than in Australia."

Exactly. Not Compton, not Detroit, not DC, not Oakland - Duncan, Oklahoma - a town of 25,000. Just boggles the mind.......

There are a number of US states with lower intentional homicide rates than New South Wales or Western Australia: List of countries by intentional homicide rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These include some of the gunnier states, such as Wyoming and New Hampshire. US statistics are skewed by the magnitude of the drug trade and associated gang activity. To say that the "Odds of being murdered in US 26% [are] greater than in Australia" is absurd. That's like telling Americans not to swim in Australia because the chances of shark, crocodile or box jellyfish attacks are higher there than they are in New Jersey

One good thing about Oklahoma is that it's a death penalty state - and they use it. I'm not trying to open up a death penalty thread, I know most non-US posters oppose it. But, if I've ever seen a case that screams for it........

Dunno, Davis. The nationality of the victim doesn't alter the severity of the crime, just gives it more publicity. Teenagers, punks. They probably won't hang. In Texas, well they probably would.

Actually, I was wrong too, it's about 2700% greater.
