I could never have believed that one day I would feel sorry for Max Clifford
And I was right, too.

one journalist got to question him leaving his home.
'will you be apologising to all of your victims'
he refused to answer the question.
orrible ugly man he is.
I hope the smug twat gets the shower treatment by having to "pass the soap" everyday.
The "tiny penis" defence was hilarious.
^ Because 2 generations of kids grew up watching him do his shit on an eisle and thought he was fantastic.
If guilty, hope what he gets what's coming.
If it turns out it was part of the Saville witch hunt, I feel sorry for the poor bloke.
The bad news for some celebs is that his business is ruined and he's now got at least four years to write a tell-all book to get himself a few million....
And the same hypocritical redtops that have been sanctimoniously battering him over this will be battling each other to get the serialisation rights.
thought this profiteering with books about ones crimes wos prohibited.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda
decent result for the victims. ayeee.
it wouldn't be about his crimes though, would it. It would be about the crimes of politicians, lords and ladies, celebs, and a the whole plethora of scum bags that he has kept stories quiet about, whilst hanging others out to dry.Originally Posted by billy the kid
I hope he gets it out soon before they suicide him.
more victims coming forward now.
decent bit of justice done for the victims here.
can't imagine that a book by this perv. would get anywhere near publication.
he's a child abuser and a predator of the vulnerable. fuk im.
He's gone down for 8 years.
He'd better be careful as I "went down" for eight minutes once and I'm sure it caused me to have food poisoning.Originally Posted by Gerbil
good riddance to him and his non job
but on a point of law , how come he gets 4 X 2 year sentences consecutively , don't they usually run concurrently ?
He'll have to write a book to cover the costs from the numerous civil lawsuits he's now going to face from his victims for compensation. And no doubt his 8 years will be reduced on appeal when he makes a grovelling apology.
He was nailed on the consistencies of a routine he peddled in which he would inveigle the girls into sex on a promise of meeting stars, or having an audition.
And of course he then didn't follow up with that promise.
So I daresay that is why these women have a grudge against him - and see themselves as victims of a manipulation - even though at the time, they might have been basically consenting to the acts taking place.
(He wouldn't be the first man to lie and make false promises in order to bed someone)
Makes me ponder why Yewtree is not going after the rock stars themselves, who were presumably even randier - it could be because there aren't any complaints about their acts * - sex with them being something the girls might welcome. So, their venom is reserved for these kind of intermediate Mr Fixit figures such as Clifford or disc jockeys who promised much, but didn't deliver A listers.
* Bill Wyman hasn't been charged as there have been no complaints filed against him - though he admitted to having a 13 year old lover - Mandy Smith.
^ thinking one has a good relationship
and then losing face and been made to look a fool. big time.
not nice.
Max Clifford, what a seduction technique, show a small penis and ask the her what is she going to do about it.
You've been away from the UK for a while Harry, the UK has followed in the US footsteps that everyone sues everyone for everything, also in the UK the burden of proof is a lot less in civil courts than in criminal courts so more and more people will come out of the woodwork to join a mass civil prosecution for damages against Clifford and will wipe him out of his known assets which seeing as thought he was above the law and never envisaged anything like this happening to him will be basically everything. So basically Cliffords future depends on who he has serious dirt on as we're all aware of the 'masons' hence when the furore has died down I expect he will successfully appeal against the length of his sentence which will be reduced to under 4 years which means he only does half time and will be served in a cushty open prison. But as always time will tell but if he ends up serving more than 2 years i'll be surprised.
He's in for a rough 8 year's, the non repentant smirking nonse.
"sex case! Sex case! hang him! hang him! hang him!
^
I don't know, is having sex with a 15 year old considered a nonce in prison ?
depends where he is too , and if he had any friends in high places left ,
three to a cell in wormwood scrubs is going to hurt but
if they put him in an open prison he will have it easy.
Her age is sufficient for him to get jailtime for that particular conviction.
But for the over 16s.....
...if a guy charms, schemes them into bed (without being violent)- and makes all kind of promises, whether of love, marriage, money or an introduction to Alvin Stardust.
Then, whilst he is abusing her trust, I don't see how that is a criminal sexual offence - assuming the guy doesn't deliver !
(Am having tea with a Barrister this afternoon - I shall ask him !!!)
