Ms Corby, 39, has been hospitalised after being “bashed”, Nine News reports, however there are conflicting reports about how Ms Corby was assaulted.
News Limited reports she sustained a broken nose and bleeding in one eye after she was bashed by a gang of five Indonesian men in the heart of Kuta.
The men were reportedly attempting to steal her handbag last Thursday night.
The attack stopped when a male friend she was due to meet saw what was happening and helped, it was further reported.
However, a Fairfax report suggested Ms Corby was attacked by a bouncer.

Mercedes Corby.(AAP)A man who witnessed the event in Bali told news.com.au that Ms Corby "had blood all over her face and her eyes were closed".
It is believed she is recovering in Kasih Ibu Hospital in Denpasar and will be released later today.
Ms Corby is also rumoured to have spilt with her Balinese husband Wayan Widyartha.
She reportedly moved out of the family compound in Kuta several weeks ago.
