10 dead in U.S. Batman Premiere shooting bloodbath monstrosity etc.

Latest news is one of two gunmen is in Police custody.

Reports: 10 Shot Dead At Batman Film Premiere

    9:35am UK, Friday 20 July 2012

Ten people have been shot dead at a Batman film premiere in Denver, Colorado, according to reports.
A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a premiere showing of the new Batman movie in Denver.
Local radio reported people running screaming from the Century Aurora 16 Movie Theater in a mall in the suburb of Aurora.
The gun man reportedly opened fire after 30 minutes of the showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" and also set off a smoke or tear gas bomb.
Brenda Stuart, from 850 KOA Radio, told Sky News: "This started with a midnight showing of the new Dark Knight movie and the theatres were packed that were showing this movie.
"People inside tell us they thought it was part of the movie. They heard what they thought were firecrackers, loud bangs and all of a sudden they saw the bullets flying.
"Police officers are carting the injured to the hospital in their own cars, not waiting for the ambulances."
A makeshift hospital was set up at the mall to treat those wounded in the attack.
Police closed off surrounding parking lots as sniffer dogs were brought in to search for a suspected explosive device.

Yeah, I reckon that's one of the freedoms the framers of the Constitution had in mind when they came up with the 2nd Amendment. The right to bear arms in a crowded cinema, and the right to blow away innocent people.

    Sad.

But times have changed, how many of the 300 million++ people that live in America have the intelligence and responsibility that comes with owning fire arms. The right to bear arms in a country full of fokwits is a recipe for disaster as is proven over and over again.

Some people going nut's over there lately -

This nice specimen shot up a house and a bar wounding 17 people, and after that he lit fires at his former workplace in Tuscaloosa Alabama on Tuesday -

Predictable in a nation of idiots who allow guns to be available so easily.

what a horrible tragedy for those present, their families and the community at large.

it seems like there is a mass shooting in the US every couple of months.

sure, this guy is the mass murderer.....but the NRA is complicit.

This is a terrible story and will, inevitably, rekindle the fires under the gun debate crucible.

Wayne La Pierre of the NRA will probably make the argument that the theatre patrons should have had firearms strapped on so they could rightfully defend themselves. And every politician in Washington is scared to death of the NRA - what a dismal and depressing state of affairs.

Gun laws have very little to with this.

Illegal firearms are easy to get hold of in almost any part of the world, any goatee wearing meathead can get hold of guns if they want to.

wow. you seem to have an inside track on the specifics of this case.

so, how did he acquire the gun(s)? surely you must know since 'gun laws have very little to do with this'.
