2 hostages rescued, 9 captors dead, 0 rescuers wounded or killed. Seems like a pretty good result to me.
If W was still in charge they'd probably have attacked Namibia or something!

Heh...if the Obumer thinks stuff like this gives him 'legs', he's sadly mistaken. Forever viewed as a failed community agitator pussy more interested in destroying America from within...

Testimonials
"I got three confirmed kills on my last trip. I'll never hunt big game in Africa again. I felt like the Komandant in Schindlers list!" -- Lars , Hamburg Germany
"Six attacks in 4 days was more than I expected. I bagged three pirates and my 12yr old son sank two rowboats with the minigun. PIRATES: 0 - PASSENGERS: 32! Well worth the trip. Just make sure your spotter speaks English" -- Donald, Salt Lake city Utah USA
"I haven't had this much fun since flying choppers in NAM . Don't worry about getting shot by pirates as they never even got close to the ship with those weapons they use and their shitty aim--reminds me of a drunken'juicer' door gunner we picked up from the motor pool back in Nam" -- 'chopper' Dan, Toledo USA.
"Like ducks in a barrel. They turned the ship around and we saw them cry in the water like little girls. Saw one wounded pirate eaten by sharks--what a laugh riot! This is a must do." -- Zeke, Springs Kentucky USA
The media fails to mention "pirate activities" off of the Somalia Coast only started after the Europeans started to dump toxic waste off the Coast of Somalia. They were also illegally fishing the Somali waters, taking food out the mouth of Somali kids.
It's also absurd to risk so many lives and resources, to rescue two liberal douchebags do-gooders who voluntarily went to Somalia, knowing the country is a war zone.
It's also totally inappropriate for O to be spouting off about the operations and naming the very specific units that carry them out. Apparently a lot of the Special Ops guys are getting pissed off with him using them as part of his electioneering.
I think he would start naming individual soldiers if he thought it would score him a few election points. Compromising ongoing and future ops is not really an issue with the folks in the WH it seems, and as has been pointed out already the rescue of a nice female left wing liberal from the big bad pirates is intended to make him look like a real Sir Galahad....to people who would normally be going apeshit over anything military.
yet another plus for Ob. how many does he need to destroy ging/rom?
or most other scumbag politicians for that matter.
See above.
Sorry. Screwed up the edit.

But it's not his win, it's the win of the guys who risked their lives to rescue what Mr. Gribbs very appropriately calls 'liberal douchebag do-gooders'. I, for one, am tired of troops risking their lives to save the likes of missionaries, rich people on yachts, do-gooders out to save monkeys from the ravages of mines and wars of their own making, and all the others who give nothing to their countries, but then squeal like pigs if nobody comes to save them from their own folly. Whoops, I almost forgot the worst of the lot - self-proclaimed war journalists out for the big headline.
yeh. but he is the commander and chief and there are a couple hundred years of precedence for the behavior you correctly describe. remember teddy roosevelt.
^Precisely why I said, 'and other scumbag politicians'.
you guys seem to forget that the military is to serve at the will of the Commander in Chief, no matter how wrong he is
they are "government assets" and disposable, the military personnel are basically government bitches, so they shouldn't complain, they knew what they signed up for, that is slavery.
Navy Seal Team 6 == whining bitches

Next up? An American journalist and self-proclaimed 'expert' on Somali pirates who was kidnapped on January 21st, after repeatedly being told to stay out of Somalia. Bet he's becoming more of an 'expert' daily. Great book in it - if he lives. Pirates have moved him three times since the SEAL Team raid, and threaten to kill him if any rescue attempt is made. Wonder how long the SEAL streak of good fortune can last? Just the very nature of such operations makes them extremely dangerous even without a gun battle.
RIP...
