Thai prawns rejected because of cholera

It's been revealed that a shipment of cooked prawns from Thailand was rejected at an Australian port last year because it contained bacteria which can cause cholera.
But because of a technical error, the rejection wasn't listed on the Federal Agriculture Department's website.
Helen Jenkins from the Australian Prawn Farmers Association hadn't heard about the rejection until contacted by the ABC.
She says that's raised concerns about how much communication there is between DAFF and grower groups.
"If we're not being notified of instances of rejected product coming in, or kept up to date on the website or whatever, then it just makes you wonder how confident we can be with the system of testing and the regime of testing, what can actually come through that we're not aware of."
DAFF says that the consignment was not permitted entry and the goods exported from Australia, and that the missing information is being updated to its website now.
