Burmese maid

1)a friend of mine got a Burmese maid with her child at home her previous employer does not give here Thai temporarily Id card back the one she as expired 3 month's ago she said all was OK calling the former employer she promised a few times to fax a copy of it already several times nothing arrived yet how to get here legal in Thailand??
2) she had a daughter born in Thailand but on the previous house paper there is mentioned that she is not a Thai, I always thought when a child is born in foreign country that child get automatically the nationality from the country born,
example, my mother was born in France from Belgian parents on the age of 21 they got a letter home if my mother would like to be Francaise or Belgian.

being born in Thailand no longer entitles you to Thai nationality.
I think that ended about 20 years ago

1. very difficult to to do. the previous employer must agree to sign a form for the Burmese to move to a new employer and not always guaranteed in these cases anyway.

2. Burmese maid? nope, my son was born in Thailand, he aint thai.

It does if one or both of your parents are Thai

Also, if both your parents have PR, then you can apply.
