Thailand Weather – When are the best months for a Thailand Vacation?

If you are travelling abroad one of the first things to check are Exchange Rates and what is the weather going to be like, it can vary from searing heat and humidity in the hot season to frost on the mountains in the north of Thailand.

The weather in Thailand consists of 3 seasons, hot & humid, hot & wet & hot and dry.

Dry Season - Tourist Season

December to February is the tourist season for Thailand. Clear blue sky with a few puffy clouds, cool evenings in most of Thailand although Northern Thailand can be quite nippy of an evening and most years there are a few cases of death by hypothermia, so maybe a good idea for some winter clothes for the evening if you are venturing up North or even parts of central Thailand.

Hot Season - Damn it's Hot & Humid

March to June are hot, extremely hot. April is the hottest month, damn hot, as soon as you go outside of your air-con hotel you will start sweating, if this is the only time you have for visiting Thailand then plan your holiday around beaches and swimming pools, and don't forget a high factor sun lotion, you will need it.

Rainy Season - Monsoon Time

July to November is when God or Buddha decides to fill up Thailands rice paddies, generally there will be a few strong gusts of wind and within minutes the heavens will open, due to lack of planning many areas suffer from flooding, luckily it generally only rains for an hour or 2 and cools everything down and gets the dust out of the air, quite a nice time to visit Thailand if you don't mind losing an hour or 2 perday from the rains.
