Good-bye = Lahkon
Good luck (subs. for Lahkon)
Saukdee (more commonly used than lahkon)
I am from.. = Koi ma chak...
Laos = Lao
Canada = Kanada
America = Amaeleeka
France = Falang
Do you know how to speak Laotian? = Chow who chak vow pasa Lao boh?
I know a little bit / a lot. = Koi hu noyneung / lai.
I (informal) = Koi
I (formal) = Kanoi
Thank you (very much) = Kop jai (lai lai)
Your welcome = Yindee tawnhap
I am hungry / thirsty = Koi hew / yak deum nam
