Victory Monument BTS Station is on Phaya Thai Road near the intersection of Phahonyothin Road and Ratchawithi Road.
The monument was built in 1941 to commemorate the Thai victory against the French.
The area has many private mini bus for hire places and is a good place to get a mini bus to Ayutthaya etc.
Local to the station is a Tops Supermarket, a movie theater, center one shopping plaza, a fashion mall, Ratchavitee Hospital, Century Park Hotel and King Power Hotel.
From here you can also catch a bus to Suan Siam Water Park if you want a fun day of relaxing.
Around Victory Monument are a few bars such as Bar Glen, Baan Bar, Saxaphone Pub and The SJ Hip Hop & Pub.
