Chit Lom BTS Station is located on Phloen Chit Road near the intersection of Ratchaprasong Road.
The land in this area is some of the most expensive in Bangkok, this is also where the British Embassy and Swiss Embassy are located on Wireless Road.
The Royal Netherlands Embassy is also in this area.
Hotels like the Grand Hyatt, Holiday Inn and Intercontinetal are local to the Chit Lom BTS station, also some extremely high end shops in places like Gaysorn Plaza, other shopping malls include Central Chitlom, Central World Plaza, Amarin and a Big C are in the local area.
On the corner of Ratchaprasong intersection of Ratchadamri Road in Pathum Wan is the famous
Erawan Shrine, here you can pay Thai dancers to dance to help your wishes come true, in 2006 a man tried to destroy the Shrine and was subsequently killed, you can read about that
